We are in our 70s, and have stayed at Horizons (closed), Coral Beach Club (private club; as guest), Ariel Sands (closed), Pompano Beach, Southampton Princess (closed), Hamilton Princess, and the Rosedon. Rosedon is our favorite. We love the location, the food, the grounds, and, especially, the staff. Our special thanks to Matt, Homer, Kash, Peter, Daniel, Anil, Francis, Damien and everyone else we met whose name I can't remember! To a person, the staff was warmhearted, friendly, and competent. What a solid and well trained team! Finally, the food at Huckleberry's was outstanding, without being over the top silly. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the island. Over the decades we've noticed a steady decline in the once-special Bermuda ambience. High finance, especially insurance, has replaced tourism as Bermuda's backbone. And it shows. More traffic, more noise, more litter, (and many more sloppily dressed cruise passengers). Even the once gorgeous Botanical Gardens suffers greatly from neglect (except for the new café, which is a fun visit). If we visit Bermuda again we will be staying at the Rosendon!
