Pleasant stay we enjoyed our trip and the hotel was perfect I recommend it

Simantro Resort looks great online — a professional website, beautiful photos, and a declared 5-star standard. Unfortunately, the reality upon arrival was very different. Right at the entrance, we were stopped by a barrier gate and told that there was no parking available at the hotel. Instead, we were directed to a dusty open field, which is completely unacceptable for a resort claiming 5 stars. After checking in, we were told to wait 45 minutes for a hotel buggy to carry our luggage, but we ended up carrying everything ourselves under the hot sun. The room was outdated and poorly maintained. The safe didn’t work, and despite reporting it, no one fixed it during our stay. The air conditioning was old, noisy, and ineffective, so we had to sleep with the window open just to cool down a bit. Sadly, the staff seemed uninterested in resolving issues. Most concerns were dismissed with, “That’s the hotel policy,” which made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating. Dining was also disappointing: – If breakfast ends at 10:30, lights are shut off and the coffee machine is turned off at exactly 10:30, leaving no room to finish your meal peacefully. – Same applies to dinner — at 21:00 sharp, drinks machines and buffet lights are switched off. Speaking with the manager changed nothing. On the beach, the hotel claims sunbeds cannot be reserved, yet half are “taken” with towels and no guests in sight. We witnessed several people complain at reception — nothing changed. Again, poor management. At the hotel shop, be aware: returns are not accepted — even 5 minutes after purchase, even if the item is unopened and undamaged. The staff simply repeat, “That’s hotel policy.”

After my stay at Simantro Resort, I posted an honest review about my experience — including insect bites and poor room hygiene. Later, I found out that the hotel reported the review, and it was removed by Google. Photos I uploaded showing the room’s actual condition were also deleted. It seems that instead of fixing real issues, the hotel is trying to suppress negative experiences. I was a real guest,and photos as proof. Future guests deserve to know the full picture. Tip: don’t rely only on perfect reviews — they may not tell the whole story.
