GetAways at Haliburton Heights

We enjoyed a very lovely vacation in a beautiful part of Ontario. The place could't be more peaceful, and the Haliburton area is stunning. The resort staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. The town of Haliburton is quite close and has wonderful shops and restaurants!

We had to use up some bluegreen points so we went through RCI. A company I do not like. Haven't had good experiences with them but this time it worked out well. The resort was lovely. It has a small beach across the road. Because it is early in the season no chairs were out yet but the docks were. The lake water looked very inviting. We had a two bedroom unit which was basically a one bedroom plus a studio. The one bedroom had a queen size bed, a good size room with an ensuite. The living room was also a good size with a pull out couch. Fire place was lovely. Ample room for 4 people. The kitchen was well supplied. Large frig, stove, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle. There was a small washer and dryer in the foyer. I really liked the layout of the unit. The studio had a pull out cough, and down bed. No stove, but a mini frig, microwave, dishes for 4 people. It was larger than a hotel room. Both had patio doors . We were on the bottom level. The resort just has two levels so the upper level has stairs no elevators. There were 4 different buildings, all facing the lake. Nice playground for the little ones. The staff was very helpful. They have limited hours but always an emergency phone. We had a bad storm while we were there and the hydro went out. Water was supplied for drinking and toilets and flash lights. The hydro was only out for about 4 hours. They have books and DVDs for free loan. Help yourself. Haliburton village is only 10 min away and has all the necessities like Shopper's and grocery stores. We explored the region almost every day. The visitor centre was very helpful with maps. Beautiful area to get away from the big city. It was a great stay.

Great place to sit back and relax. The people here and in town are very friendly. We have tried winter and spring season, Just have summer and fall now to try

Walk across the lake and see all the deers. There are lots here. Go skiing at Sir Sam's. Excellent too. I love the art forest.

The one bedroom unit was very large. Had everything we needed. Also had a weeks supply of toilet paper, paper towels and Kleenex, dish soap and laundry soap as well, which is a bonus. Very quiet and serene. Only 10 minute drive to town. Several amenities including a row boat, paddle oat, all beach toys, floaters etc., horseshoe game, board games, BBQs, and great hospitality from the crew. Golf courses nearby as well. Would definitely recommend this place

Recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the weekend. Friendly staff and very helpful. Good access to restaurants.
