The room was very roomy. We got an upgarde unexpectedly and we were very thankful for that! The location is very good. The hot spring was also very nice. I enjoyed the outdoor hot spring the most. Would want to come back!

Spacious and clean room, with welcoming service! We drove to Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora by ourselves arriving rather late in the evening, but still we were warmly greeted by their staff, who followed us to the car park and helped us take our luggages. Check in was smooth and we were in our room in no time! We asked the staff if there was any restaurant nearby and they printed out pages of different selections around the area! Since it was getting late, we didn't bother to go out for dinner, so we gave the hotel's restaurant a try, which quality took us by surprise! Dinner was pretty close to a fine dining experience, with good quality food and fair price - highly recommend. Breakfast was at the same restaurant and buffet style! Yum! The room was clean and spacious, however, the onsen was semi open and we were a bit worried people outside may see us. There won't be people walking right outside, but still fairly close to the gas station/ convenience store across the street - may have to put in consideration on which room type you'd choose.

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Location is about 20 mins walk from Hakone Yumoto station. They have a parking lot for hotel guests and also shuttle from train station. Staff cannot speak much English but are very friendly. You need to take off your shoes and lock them in the lockers at entrance because no outside shoes allowed but hotel slippers, which not very convenience but make it a very clean and tidy hotel. Japanese buffet breakfast is included in the room cost and quite a lot of Japanese food choices. It has a pond garden which is good for morning wandering. It is also a very good Onsen facilitated hotel. You can book a private bath if you want to have Onsen together with your partner. They gave us 2 hotel spending coupons that can offset the booking cost.

The location is not so far from Hakone-Yamamoto station, but if you bring huge luggage it may not convenient. We only brought our backpacks to Hakone. The room is huge, the design is Japanese traditional house/room. We booked a room with bed because we’re not very used to sleeping on floor. We didn’t get a room with river view but that’s alright. The bathroom is okay, they have a very complete bath-amenities and skincare ranges which is nice. We tried the private onsen, we paid about 3300 yen. But it’s worth the experience. The breakfast buffet is pretty nice with many various of foods. Overally it’s a pretty good accomodation in Hakone area.

Awesome Ryokan with pristine service. Hot spring was great too, albeit one was abit too hot. Rebecca was an awesome attendant where she made sure we enjoyed our meals and stay. The only letdown would be the location as there is a slope to get up to the Ryokan which is quite dangerous. One note is that it is hard to get taxi to yama no Chaya where they may reject to drive passenger there. The view is also a bit disappointing. But all in all, an awesome stay!

All I can say is I’m super love the hotel! Very convenient, near the hakone ropeway, near the pirate ship! There is also private and public Onsen. Super love their buffet dinner and buffet breakfast! Highly recommend people and my friends to go! Will revisit again :))

Convenient transportation: 4/5 By bus: get off in front of the 131 hotel, which is closer than the 130 Miyanoshita Onsen Station (the hotel is on a slope on the road, and there is a turn in front of the hotel to go uphill, so you don’t need to drag your luggage uphill at Miyanoshita Onsen Station) By tram: get off at Miyanoshita OH54 and walk for 5 minutes, but the tram station is also on a slope above the road, so it’s a bit difficult to pull the suitcase There are Lawson and 711 nearby, and it’s also very convenient to buy things 2. If you have time at night, you can go to the hotel B1 History Museum to see the hotel’s history, including the hotel’s early development history, managers of successive generations, and the process of earthquake reconstruction, etc. The hotel should be the first hotel in Hakone to receive Western tourists. Many Western celebrities, politicians, and scientists have stayed in the hotel in history. The hotel itself is also a microcosm and witness of Japan’s history of opening up to the outside world. 3. Hot spring: On the top floor, the space is large and the facilities are good. Because we went there in winter, there were not many people, and it was basically a private hot spring. After playing all day, it was very comfortable to soak in a hot spring at night to relieve the cold and fatigue. Overall: Choosing this hotel is definitely not only about the facilities and location, but also about its cultural atmosphere. The garden behind the hotel is very large, and it may be more beautiful in summer. Unfortunately, we went there in winter and the flowers were not in bloom. There is also a hiking trail to Mount Asama. If you have time, you can walk around more and feel the cultural atmosphere here

Nice stay . We booked traditional Japanese room, and slept on futon beds. Pillows were uncomfortable though . Our room fee included dinner and breakfast which was very nice. Dinner was tad too cold for our taste ( too many cold dishes) and breakfast was too “fishy”. Although all food was fresh and the service was impeccable. Hotel also has its own onsen , and pretty Japanese garden .

It's near Hakonemachi port and the bus terminal of line H. The room is large with a high ceiling and lake view. The washroom is a bit old fashioned. There is a French restaurant, a teppanyaki restaurant and a casual bar restaurant. Car park in front of the hotel.
