Hotel Bintang 4 Hakodate Populer

I changed my hotel into this hotel immediately after I watched Conan the Movie 27. I planned my trip to Hakodate since the movie 26 that I know it will take place here. Really excited to come to this hotel. The overall was great. Location so close to the train station. Near many good restaurants. Even though no onsen and room was small, but very comfortable to stay. I felt so relax staying here. However, one thing you should improve, would be the laundry room. 3 washers were there but only 2 can use. One washer with dryer all in one was very inconvenient. Especially when there are only 2 machines. Because only few people can use and it takes more than 80 minutes to finish 1 round. I travelled a lot so I know normally laundry machine should be 2 separated machines: washers and dryers, take only 30 minutes each, and free too. Here you need to pay by coins. Too slow. And very long queue. Can wash only 2 guests per 80 minutes. I brought my book to sit and read in front of the washers for 1 hour in order to wash my clothes. Then about 5 people came in and went back. Then those people came back when they thought the time was right would had been disappointed, because there were other people waiting to put their clothes inside the machines already. Some people came in 3 times. I’m not sure did they manage to wash their clothes or not, or they might had finished it by 5 AM. This is the point you should improve. There are a lot of faster machines nowadays. Find more to fulfill your service.

Nice room with mountain view. The breakfast is superb. Hotel has parking but with a fee. Very close to shopping and several points of interests including the cable car station

very big room. Excellent location, near to JR station only 2mins walking distance! Hakodate train is near, only 5 minutes walking distance. Many outstanding restaurants are nearby, like Sushi Soup begirama, Flower see sushi. Highly recommend to choose this hotel although room cleansing services are provided once every three days

We stayed two nights, one room only and one with dinner and breakfast. Overall satisfactory experience 1) superb view of public onsen at top floor facing the sea 2) good buffet breakfast with nice seafood collection 3) very good dinner set (we upgrade from buffet which is the general option) 4) one of the newer onsen hotels in 湯之川 opened in 2017 only. Will recommend !

There are 2 wings of the hotel. A new and old wing. We were in the old wing however parts of the old wing was upgraded. Location is 6 minutes walk to the seafood market and red bricks warehouse. Service is great and comes with onsen

Extremely satisfied. This hotel is perfect and very good value for money especially if you drive as the parking space is plenty and free. Room comes with a small but comfy bathtub. Free soft drinks and coffee in the lobby, late night DIY ramen for free too. Breakfast is brilliant for a 3 star hotel. Most guest and Japanese I noticed.

The hotel is quite new and very close to the harbour. It is only 2 mins walk from the morning fish market. The Onsen is very nice. It has 2 levels. The 14th floor is indoors and the 15th floor Onsen is outdoors. Very nice view from the Onsen. The morning breakfast is fantastic! They have ikura and salmon & tuna & ika sashimi.

We booked this hotel for a special stay for our Christmas Day abroad and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cozy, spacious and quiet with very comfy beds. We appreciated the entry way with the closet and shoe rack. We also appreciated the shower with great pressure, the large sink counter and the Japanese style toilet. There was also a good amount of toiletries provided. We had Japanese style pajamas, slippers for the room, sandals to go around the hotel in and even slippers specifically for the toilet area. The room has a large TV and you can connect to it with an HDMI cable or screencast but we could not figure out how to screencast. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese so the important stuff was in English but the little things like the remote control and temperature control were not. We booked our stay with the buffet dinner and breakfast and for our stay it seems that all the greatest hits for Japanese cuisine were out. For dinner they had a steak grilling station, a BBQ scallop station, a sushi chef, crab dumplings and all kinds of accompaniments. For the dessert they had an array of tasty sweets but we enjoyed the macarons and Hokkaido ice cream the most. The breakfast was equally fantastic with a miso soup station, all kinds of sashimi, black pork dumplings, fried chicken and all kinds of crowd pleasers. There is a juice station and a coffee machine that makes all kinds of drinks so we were very pleased with the meals. We appreciated the plates and small dishes that allowed for small portions so we could pretty much try everything. Some items at the buffet did run out and these were specifically the small dishes - it is worth going early for breakfast and dinner because some items are not replenished and I found quite a few of these very delicious! There isn't much around the hotel other than a 7-11 and a small botanical garden across the bridge but it is definitely a hotel meant to stay in and enjoy. We went to the onsen at night and in the morning and really enjoyed the outdoor bath which was sea facing. At night you could hear the waves and see the stars and during the day you could enjoy the beach and mountain view. The onsen baths have a variety of temperature pools and saunas and good bath products. There is a machine that dispenses a few pop flavours, cold tea and mineral water in the change room. There was a variety of self care products available in the change rooms as well like toothbrushes and razors. Our room was very cozy after our bath and we found that the temperature for the hotel was possibly centrally controlled and not adjustable according to Google translation. It was set at a balmy 24 but we did figure out how to turn it off and got a comfortable night's rest. I wasn't a big fan of the hard toothbrushes that were provided mainly because the toothbrush used a coating rather than toothpaste which makes them truly single use. The hotel offers quite a few amenities outside of the onsen area but the onsen was the highlight for us. They have a lounge area with lots of seats looking out to the sea near the front desk, a separate restaurant from the buffet restaurant, a souvenir shop that sells drinks too and luggage storage. We aren't sure if there are multiple floors with laundry machines but the one laundry room we did find only had one machine so this might not be a hotel to do your laundry at. The hotel is easily accessible from both the train station and airport. From the train station you can take a bus or the tram which would take about 30 minutes and from the airport there are some dedicated busses that will take about 15 minutes. The bus station and tram station closest to the hotel is Yunokawa Onsen. This was a great stay for us and we felt one night here was perfect. There is a lot to see in Hakodate and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a more economical option but this truly was a special treat for us.

Conveniently located near Hakodate station, morning market, and food streets. I could also easily get to the attractions in Hakodate via the nearby tram and buses. The room was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The staff could also communicate well in English and were very friendly. Thanks for the nice stay!

Hakodate Baron Club Resort Hotel is in a very good location. It is within walking distance from Hakodate Station, Hakodate Morning Market, tram stations, and tourist attractions. This is the main reason why I chose it. The second reason is that it is very large (41 square meters) and well-planned: there is a living room, bedroom (movable sliding door, after opening, the room feels more spacious), a bathtub with a view (every time you come back from the city walk, you can take a nice bath, relieve fatigue, and feel comfortable), a dry and wet separated bathroom, and a kitchen fully equipped with small appliances and tableware (unfortunately, we only stayed for two nights and were unable to make good use of the complete kitchen equipment); the third reason: among similar hotels, it has the best value for money. The only unpleasant thing is that the room rate we booked in advance was nearly one-third more expensive than the price on the day of check-in, and the rooms booked in advance cannot be cancelled. Next to the hotel (two streets apart) is 711, Family Mart, Izakaya, Hakodate Morning Market, which is between Hakodate Station and the hotel, separated by two intersections; diagonally opposite is Genghis Khan BBQ, which has super delicious beef tongue and beef short ribs; Masaya and the drugstore are just opposite the morning market, which is super convenient for eating and shopping. Hachimanzaka, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse (the little * hamburger shop that Conan has been to is just opposite), Mt. Hakodate, and Motomachi are all within walking distance. Goryokaku Tower is a little further away, so we took the tram there. If the weather is good, it's a quick walk. The hotel staff are very friendly and the communication is smooth. After arriving in Sapporo, my son asked: Why is there no Baron Hotel here? Yes, that's a good question.
