Strand Suites by Neu Collective

Great location, well appointed room with aircon as part of the price. The staff were very friendly. Shampoo and body wash and hairdryer in the room. I thought we were supposed to have fridge in the room which is the only thing it need. Free ticket to the Aqualuna beach club was fabulous and made for a great weekend away. Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows so slept well. The transfer from the airport was 30mins so if you want a getaway for the weekend it is perfect. Good and drink at the aqualuna was delicious and a reasonable cost.

Stayed for the weekend and overall we were very impressed. The room was enormous, extremely clean, very quiet. Great amenities and nice touches to the design of the room. The only issue that we faced was that my father who was staying in a separate room, was reallocated a room twice upon arrival. The first was a room untouched by housekeeping (yet to be cleaned) the second was a family room booked for someone else, finally he was given the correct room but this consequently added 1 hour delay to our holiday. I would still recommend, location was great, bolt/ubers are ridiculously cheap if you’re travelling - especially in groups. We would stay again but hope for better room allocation and organisation upon arrival that’s all.

We arrived before check in, so we dropped our bags off and had a quick freshen up. First impressions weren’t brilliant, very dirty reception area/toilet due to workmen in the hotel. We went for lunch whilst we waited for the room to be ready. (The location is great) Check in was on time and the room itself was nice and clean. The main issue we faced is that the hotel is half finished, half of it is a literal building site (bare brick/no floors) and if you take the stairs to have to walk through it all. There is one lift, which is used a lot by the work men therefore is filthy and patched up with cardboard and tape. Each morning we were woken up at 7am by extremely loud banging/drilling vibrating the room. So loud that the TV didn’t even mask the sound. I believe no work should start til at least 9am when guests are present. I would imagine once the works are finished it would be a brilliant hotel and good value for money. It’s just a shame we weren’t made aware of this beforehand.

Do not book this hotel! It is a CONSTRUCTION SITE, where there is NOISE pollution from early in the morning until late at night, and dust everywhere, as most of the floors are not yet finished! The hotel does not comply with its information obligation and does not inform travelers about this in advance. They do have a plan in place to move people to the sister hotel 115 The Strand Hotel by NEU Collective (where facilities such as fitness, wellness and breakfast are also located). We went there to get away from the noise, and ended up in an old-fashioned, MUSTY room in a remote wing of the hotel. This was supposedly an upgrade. The rooms were poorly isolated, and here too we found no peace. The fact that IT RAINED IN THE HALLWAY AND IN THE ROOMS didn't really feel like an upgrade, especially when other guests had to move at 3AM due to flooding... Except for a small compensation for the 2 nights in the Strand Suites by NEU Collective, 115 The Strand refused any compensation, and blamed any poor experiences on the neighbors' old building. Terrible experience, absolutely not recommended, we will never go back!

We had a great stay in Malta, the island is amazing, and so small it is easily available. We used Bolt for all the travellig, and it worked out very cheap. Nearby the hotell was construction works, but they did not disturb us, as they were working through the times we were out the hotel. The aqua luna is very close, and it is great for lounging. Food there is also decent, a bit on a pricey side compare to local cafes, but this to be expected by the pool.

Visited Strand Suites in May for 3 nights. Really great central location. Close to bars, shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wish I’d got names to personally thank. Super rooftop pool and complementary access to aqualuna lido complex, which was amazing! Rooms clean and modern, beds very comfy. Could leave second bottle of water for double occupancy and a bit more coffee and milk. Altogether a really lovely stay and would definitely return.
