XIAO XI JU Hotel

One elevator was broken so there was only 2 elevators for 25 floors. It would often take almost 10 mins to get the elevator. But the location was good, room was clean except the windows are very dirty. Staff were friendly as well.

We got upgraded to a better room with an awesome view. Great breakfast too. The elevator was an issue though. With long waiting times and often full.

Everything was great. Hotel location was right in Qingyun market, check in was a breeze, rooms were clean and the cleaning lady was especially friendly making sure we were comfortable. Elevators were however, inconvinient, looks unkept and dirty, having located outside the lobby and shared with other tenants. Be prepared to wait for sometime during rush hours.

The rooms are OK, the Hotel engine was the most confusing thing because he had to go through a convenience store to go upstairs and I did not find that convenient. The communication was not shared before us arriving so we had to find a way through everything the location was fine because it was next to their little market area.

Hotel is a short walk to popular tourist spot 青云市集 and surrounding shopping/eating belts. About 700m to nearest metro station 河滨公园 (line1) and 1.2km to 贵阳 metro & railway station. Hotel staff was friendly & helpful. As hotel is on top of residential units (at 18th-20th floors), need to share lifts with many residential and other commercial users housed within the building. Not a big problem, unless you treasure privacy and security of a normal 4-5 stars hotel. Booked a room with breakfast, that was well provisioned and cooked by inhouse cook. They do not have a dining area. Breakfasts were delivered to room. 18th floor housed their gym & laundry area, free to use. Nice view too if you book a room with window, facing the river.

I saw a live cockroach one morning. The staff upgraded my room. I took a picture and killed the cockroach. This is not a big problem . I will stay here again in the location is the best, The staff was very cordial and helpful. There are 3 elevators but each has a separate control. 1 elevator wasn’t working. The other 2 had high usage as the elevators aren’t that big. With separate control, the guests press 2 different buttons for 2 elevators and they will take the first one that arrives. Also between 20 to 25 floors belong to different hotel . This hotel is between 18 to 20 so we now have 8 floors, each with at least 22 rooms using 2 functional elevators. The wait is at least 5 minutes. The nice thing about the hotel is the laundry room and in the same room exercise machines. There are 3 exercise machines, 2 washers and 2 dryers with free detergent. I love it. The hotel is next to a 24 hour convenient store. The pedestrian zone is outside the hotel. 10 minutes walk is metro line 1. 2 bus stop away is 贵阳站. Also there a wet market across the hotel and you can get fruit and cooked food like roasted ducks. The view from my room was very good and 小度小度worked well. The room is enormous. I don’t mind staying here again during low season.
