For tourists it seems like a long way to go for lunch, but for the locals who took us there, they could not recommend it enough. And we agree. Wonderful dining experience to sit out in the lovely courtyard and enjoy a tasty lunch served by friendly staff. We all had something different and everything was delicious.

Lovely setting in the garden and the service was good. We had some shared plates - turkish bread with EVOO & dukkah, mushroom aranchini and spring rolls. All were very tasty. The only thing that puts me off going there again is they have no non-alcoholic wines or bubbles on their menu. There is one AF beer and other than that, if you don't want an alcoholic drink, you're stuck with soft drink, sugary mocktails or water. In 2024, it seems a bit silly. We have had many lunches down the road at the Guildford Hotel where we can get a much better selection of AF drinks. Many people would drink these AF beverages and are happy to pay the same as for an alcoholic beverage.

Booked for three nights to have a relaxing break. Went out briefly on day 2 (Sat) and upon return there was NO PARKING AVAILABLE. Over $200 for a room but no consideration for room paying guests. Thus did not spend further money in the restaurant or at the bar.

Had a lunch date with my partner yesterday, Wednesday. We was not disappointed. We ordered the GNOCCHI, MALAY SEAFOOD CURRY & a side of PAW PAW SALAD also knows as TOM-SOM. The fish curry was delicious, the salad was fresh and tasty and well complemented the curry & rice. My partner disliked the GNOCCHI. That’s not to say it was not good. We ordered another rice and he enjoyed the curry & salad so he was not disappointed. As my partner did not eat his meal the lovely waitress took the drinks charge of our bill. I thought this was really lovely considering the meal was not bad it was just not for my partner. The staff were very apologetic about the meal. We tried to reassure them that we had a very positive experience. Staff were attentive, friendly & showed they cared. It was a hot day. It did get a bit uncomfortable in the garden. Maybe some fans ?? There was a lot of flies too. Although, we was sitting next to the big plants. I was excited that the on-line meme had chilli mussels. This is no-longer on the menu at the restaurant. I would like to see them return? 😝 Highly recommend Rose & crown. We will be returning.

Popped in for lunch on Thursday, in the garden area under the shade of a tree. Lovely. Great waitress, Barbi. Shared a parfait that is always good and 'Diry potatoes' which was a tasty dish of fried spuds with a dressing and savoury bits in it. Nice. Hop hog on tap and we were more than happy. Going back? Yes...soon.

The Rose & Crown Hotel, a Historic hotel in Guildford WA, well worth a visit. My wife and I attended the Hotel to celibate New Year's Eve 2023. The beer garden was full of guests, some as couples, others as families or friends. The food was excellent, the entertainment a ladies duo extremely talented, the venue magnificent. If you have never been , then I recommend that you try it asap. Les & Gwyne.

Went for NYE lunch with family visiting from overseas and the service, food and atmosphere were exceptional. Best Sunday roast (mum said better than any roast she’s had in the UK), beef and Guinness pies, fish and chips and chicken parmi we’ve had in Australia. The service was outstanding - we got there early and mum was struggling to walk so they seated us immediately in a very comfy spot in their outdoor area. We’ll be back for sure!
