We love Club Amigo. We stayed in the hotel for the first time in the 22 years of going there. Normally we stayed in a Villa. We loved our room and how central everything is at the resort. The staff are amazing in every department. Public Relations go far above duty to make sure the guests are cared for. Thank you Barbara, Airel and Beatrice. Alex, director of Food and Drink always made sure we had what we needed, food for travel, water etc. Lenar, 2nd manager is always on deck making sure the guests are cared for. The servers and bar tenders treat you like family, warm, wonderful people. The El la Carte was always a good place to eat. Also, the staff supplied several private meals for the Tourists which was extra special. I would recommend Club Amigo Atlantico for your winter vacation.

As a retired couple from Southwestern Ontatio, Canada we've made Club Amigo,Guardalavaca our go to resort, visiting 2 to 3 times a year for 4 week stays under 4000. per stay. The staff are like our family welcoming us back like we had never left. The weather is always warm and sunny 90% of the time. Club Amigo beaches are a beautiful turquoise in color ,sand is soft and fine with minimal seaweed. The sunsets are the best we have seen! Ther is plenty to do-activities like games and competitions with prizes keep things fun and entertaining. The rooms are comfy and the food is delicious andsatisfies without ever causing us concern. We often go off resort walking or buggy ride to the local town for an inexpensive authentic Cuban dinner. Beautiful pools with swim up bars, 24 hour snack bar,a la carts, Ashley's Coffee Cafe, Jessica patio and many other niche places to relax and enjoy. Nightly entertainment and other entertainment throught resort. Weekly Special Canadian day celebrations, Cuban day with outdoor roast pig and Earth Day, planting trees. The gardeners take special pride making Club Amigo a beautiful Cuban experience. Staff go above and beyond to make your visit perfect. We always feel safe on resort or nearby. Club Amigo blends affordability, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality! We always look forward to returning to our Home away from Home!

Someone who has traveled Cuba extensively, I have to say that this particular hotel has left me returning for more. Why? Well, I will have to say the location which is close to the busiest and most exciting beach in the province of Holguin. The hotel itself is a 3 star, but the staff exceed this through exceptional service and always a desire to help with whatever they can. Definitely recommended, and I am sure I will be returning.

This was our 3rd visit to CA and our first post pandemic. Again the staff really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Marta was always precise and detail oriented in the care of our rooms. It was nice to see familiar faces and the waitstaff go above and beyond. A waitress found out is was our anniversary and even made a tiny bouquet of picked flowers We were disappointed to find this trip our favorite part of the resort, the small beach with the pirate ship bar is no longer accessible to CA guests, as it's now part of the Starfish resort next door. However, the Guardalavaca beach does not disappoint! We really enjoyed the mojitos made by Chicho Bluejays on the 4th floor and that spot is a hidden gem. Most likely we will return, if it wasn't for the amazing staff who really try to go above and beyond with limited supplies. Downsides were there was quite often not any toilet paper or soap in the public restrooms. The rooms while clean are VERY VERY VERY worn. We had 2 beds, one with a good mattress and one with an old mattress. The water system for drinking water/refilling bottles was absolutely vile. I didn't get sick but it tasted off. We did ask another guest and her consensus was the same. Also, there seemed to be a rum shortage as none available at all! However talking to other travelers on the shuttle to the airport their resorts all had ample rum. Cuba makes their own rum!!! There is even shelves of rum in their own gift shop. Anyway, all this made for an adventure.

Had a great trip with my mother-in-law, the rooms were beautiful! We had the best time with super Vasti and Ricardo! They did the best with the entertainment. Something new everyday and always so welcoming and lively! The food and drinks were very good as well. Very attentive staff such as Mila, Deanna, Nellie, Jacklyn and many more! This place is a must!❤️❤️

There are so many positives with our stay. The food was amazing, our servers were so attentive and gracious. The entertainment staff were a big part of our positive stay. Vasti and her associates were so entertaining. All in all, our experience was so amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who would ask about it.

My sister and I had the most amazing stay, and a huge part of that was because of the incredible entertainment team—Basti, Brian, and Ricardo! These three went out of their way every single day to keep us smiling, laughing, and having fun. From lively games and activities to just taking the time to chat and connect with guests, they truly made us feel special. Their energy was contagious and made every moment memorable! Beyond the entertainment, everyone at the hotel was so kind and welcoming. The staff were always accessible, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. It really felt like we were being taken care of by people who genuinely cared about our experience. If you’re thinking of visiting—do it! You’ll be surrounded by amazing people, great vibes, and non-stop fun. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family, and we already can’t wait to come back!

It was good to be back for 2 weeks to enjoy the great weather and see old friends in the staff, familiar Canadians, and Cuban friends. Some villa rooms have been renovated with walk-in showers replacing the bathtubs and overall nicely refreshed. Great meals in the a-la-carte, Aroma. But times are tough in Cuba. The resort had electricity 100% but only a few hours of power each day for the Cubans outside. The buns were very good but then there was no flour. The bar didn't run out of beer or wine but never any cola and the rum ran very low once. Good friendly staff who do their best with what Cuba can provide them.

The hotel rooms are not ready yet. We went to the hotel at 10.30 pm. And there is no food at all. And we went to the room the room card not working. So they gave the key to lock my room until i return . The hotel has only 3 kinda food and only one kind of bread there very small bread. Most of the time no bread there too. The food area is not clean too. I so the only chef in the grill he is doing good work. Our 4th time Cuba . But starfish first time and we never gonna come back to Cuba because of the hotel.
