Neeld Arms

This pub has changed hands a few times recently having been the “go to” place for us for a number of years. Having gone downhill it is under new ownership and as good as or even better than it has ever been. Atmosphere good, staff helpful and polite but the food today was faultless. Can’t wait to go again.

We went to the Neeld Arms for a mid-week lunch and had an excellent meal - three-course lunchtime menu for £21.00. A warm welcome, delicious food and great service. Whether you just want a drink in the bar or have a meal in the restaurant, the Neeld Arms is the place for you!

We are visiting from South Devon and staying in the village of Grittleton. We had a fantastic supper tonight at the local pub The Neeld Arms, very friendly and helpful staff, providing great service, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended

As expected…our meal, drinks, wine and service were fab. We have enjoyed dining at Mark n Mark’s other pubs (Langley Tap n Wellesley Arms) and now delighted to have the Neeld restored on our doorstep! Had a lovely meal tonight with family …will return and thoroughly recommend! ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed an excellent mid week dinner in the Neeld Arms, a pub which has recently undergone a superb transformation under the new operators, Mark & Mark. I have long enjoyed their two other pubs, The Langley Tap and The Wellesley Arms - make no mistake these chaps and the Team under their stewardship are excellent and highly hospitable operators. The ambience has been significantly upgraded with the recent renovations and the quality of the food proposition is everything it should be. As a free house they are focussed on bringing fresh and interesting guest ales and I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with their wine list. I predict this place will become a firm favourite in the area and I look forward to many more visits - although my credit card might not!! Well done! Long may it continue.

Under new management. Fortunately the previous owners since June 2022 have now left and the new owners are getting this once great pub back on its feet. The kitchen has reopened and by all accounts the food is good. The selection of beers remains good. The staff have a renewed vigour and enthusiasm driven by the new owners. The place already has a buzz about it. Many locals who had given up on the place are already back. It is early days, but the new owners have plans and no doubt they will soon have this once great pub back on the list of one of the best pubs in the area.
