I booked last-minute for a solo trip to Grindelwald to ski. It was a brilliant choice. 2 mins walk from the ski bus, clean and well-equipped rooms, the kindest staff, traditional and filling breakfast, awesome views from the balcony - I will definitely return. Thanks so much for looking after me.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und angenehm, auch die günstigeren angemessen ausgestattet. Insbesondere die gemeinschaftlichen Bereiche sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird serviert, daher muss man immer wieder um etwas bitten, was für uns nicht ideal war - wir hatten uns nicht dafür, zum dritten Mal nach einem Gläschen Orangensaft zu fragen. Es ist aber alles nötige vorhanden. Der Filterkaffee ist für jemanden, der gerne einen guten, frischen Kaffee hat weniger geeignet. Wenn das Hotel ausgebucht ist, könnte es in Frühstücksraum etwas eng werden. Die Parkplatzsituation beim Hotel ist was wir gesehen haben wohl etwas knapp, aber es hat gereicht. Kann wohl schon sein, dass man keinen Parkplatz bekommt, wenn das Hotel voll ist.

Friendly and cozy atmosphere. Helpfull host. Hotel is in the middle of the center and conveniently close to the busstop and the trainstation. Loved the selection of fresh bread at breakfast. This hotel offers is a good value for money and I would go there again.

This hotel was perfect. Location, views, staff, were all outstanding. We upgraded to a Mountain View room which was definitely worth it. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable and so friendly. The room was a little cold at night which we didn’t prepare for, but this was a minor problem. Plenty of choice for breakfast which had a lovely view of the Main Street so we could watch the world go by.

I hated staying here first of all the receptionist was rude, second of all the room is dirty in general there was black stains in our towel, and third I don’t know what it is but there’s a lot of creaking floors on top of us that woke us up and the walls are very very thin that we can hear the other people staying next to us I would recommended to spend a little bit more money to stay somewhere else instead of here it’s literal hell .

Wir suchten für 1 Übernachtung Zimmer für zwei Erwachsene mit je einem Kind. Wir waren unter dem Dach: zwei separate Zimmer, WC, Bad, Balkon und Leseecke. Sehr einfach gehalten, Möbel und Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Insbesondere die Leseecke etwas lieblos eingerichtet. Sehr schöne Aussicht auf Berge auf Balkon. Frühstück war ok, Frühstücksraum ok: keine Freudensprünge - aber Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war auch hier ganz gut. Zentrale Lage, allerdings auch neben dem Nachtleben. Jedenfalls hatte ich auf der Strassenseite ziemlichen Nachtlärm bis um 01:00 Uhr; mich störte es nicht, andere hätten sich vermutlich sehr daran stören können. Auf Bergseite ist es vermutlich allgemein ruhiger. Vorteil dieser Lage ist auch, dass man gut in Restaurants zu Fuss essen gehen kann. Wir waren in der Pizzeria 30 m neben dem Hotel, war ganz gut. Sehr freundliches Personal. Es war sauber.

Overall, I had a very good experience with Hotel Tschuggen: kind and helpful staff, perfect central location in Grindelwald, quiet room at the back of the building, with balcony facing Eiger. I'll be happy to come back on my next visit in the area. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a great spot in the middle of town. If you book a room with a mountain view you will be blown away by the view of The Eiger. The hotel isn't the most modern but it's comfortable, the staff is nice and it's clean and we will book it again when we go to Grindlewald next. It's located walking distance to the train station and also the starting point for the cable cars to the amazing views of First. There are shops nearby including a small supermarket. The breakfast was plentiful with bread, cheese, meats, fruit, tea and coffee and hot chocolate and juice and we thoroughly enjoyed beautiful Grindlewald.
