Lantern House Motel

This motel has been completely renovated and is now operating as an Airbnb. The rooms are stylishly appointed and the King bed was very comfortable. Several amenities made for nice touches, including a wine fridge to keep our drinks cold (though a mini fridge with a freezer would have been even nicer since we had some ice packs we would've liked to use), a coffee machine and a bag of local ground coffee, and access to extra supplies should you need them (no proprietors on-site, all self-serve). The downsides are smallish but worth mentioning. First, the walls are fairly thin and you can hear neighbors through them, as well as any that are sitting outside on the individual decks out back. Mostly muffled voices as opposed to whole conversations but still not ideal for sleeping. Interestingly they provide a small white noise machine presumably to help mitigate this exact issue but more soundproofing between walls would've been preferred. Second, there is no signage whatsoever indicating the entrance to the motel, nor any lighting for the two entrances to the driveway; we missed them multiple times during our stay becaise the area is quite dark at night and that was kind of annoying. Overall a good stay and only 20mins to Tanglewood. Probably pricey for what it is but better than alot of other options in the area this time of year.
