Rum Point Club Residences

We didn't stay at the Rum Point Club but we went to the restaurant , Solis, twice, and had the same Fungi wood-fired pizza both times. AMAZING! The first time we ate at the bar and had a great time with the bartenders and the second time we made reservations and sat on the tables facing the beach and pier.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, relaxing resort on the quiet side of Cayman. The resort is very clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated with a nicely stocked kitchen. Views are amazing and we really enjoyed our balcony.

We came for our honeymoon and rum point club did not disappoint. Kevin rolled out the red carpet for us and was unbelievably helpful to us throughout the week. Kamala was such a sweet young girl and hospitable at the bar. The facilities were immaculate and I cannot say anything better about our stay

This was one of the most beautiful and well put together units our family has stayed in. The resort has amazing views, and an exceptional design. The pool was small, but very cool. It’s open 24 hours, so great for lap swimming in the early morning. The beach is not the soft seven-mile beach sand; but it is a great beach, it’s clean, and it was fun (water shoes recommended). Right next door is also Rum Point Club which gives you a more sandy beach and more of a “touristy” feel. You can walk over to it in less than 2 minutes. Having a full kitchen helped with grocery shopping for the week. Loved the unit and felt at home through the say. There are a few things to take into consideration before booking. 1. The resort is roughly 50 minutes away from the seven-mile beach area. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you. But if you are looking for shops, dinning, activities, and to explore this is not the place. 2. The are limited dining options in the area. The hotel had one chef (who was great and full of energy), but not much to choose from. The other options close by are pretty expensive for daily choices while on vacation. 3. You will need a car; there is almost nothing within walking distance to this hotel. Overall, the staff was friendly, the hotel provided snorkel equipment, management was professional, and I can’t convey enough just how beautiful the units are. Definitely a 5 star hotel in a more secluded location. If this is your first time to grand cayman (I would not recommend this hotel as your first experience). If you need to get away from the world in a beautiful and safe environment, this is the one for you. If you are on a couples retreat and want to turn your phone off and relax, this is also definitely the place for you. If you have young kids who just want to have fun, I’d recommend the seven-mile beach area.

We rented a two bedroom condo on the 4th floor. It was gorgeous and had everything you'd want for a Self catering rental. There is daily room service which was a lovely treat. We had lunch at the restaurant which was very good, the bar was nice and easy to use. We sent the kids down to bring back dessert several nights which was very good. We got a coffee one morning which wasn't great but I think it was operator error of the machine. The hotel is really beautiful, the infinity pool is huge and really nice. The beach is rocky so we swam and snorkeled off the dock, the water is beautiful with lots to see. We liked the wind off the north shore as it kept things cool and the bugs down. We walked around the corner for a more calm beach several times. Rum point restaurant is good, bar was fun. This end of the island is calm and laidback. We'd definitely go again!
