Very. Convenient to the Grand Canyon while not having to stay in the park. Very comfortable- dining choices could be better, expanded. The casual pub food was nothing special and was overpriced, and the steakhouse had a very limited, expensive menu. Lovely gift shop and updated room accommodations were very comfortable. I didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on it, but nice to have available.

Love the property & amenities. The check in process was quite a disaster. We checked in online before and the room said it was ready, so we headed out of the Grand Canyon Park thinking we were heading to the room and to eat. When we arrived to the hotel, it was not ready and were told it would be 40 minutes. We had our bags all ready to get up to our room and head to the restaurant downstairs with hungry kids in tow. We checked our bags at the front desk and waited for a confirmation call (mind you we were given no call tag or anything to retrieve our bags- they just wrote down our last name and room number). 45 minutes later we got the call the room was ready & went to retrieve our bags. We were told by a man behind that without a call tag we would not be given our bags… after 30 minutes of arguing and trying to prove they were in fact our bags, the worker finally went to look for them. We were told we had to fill out an incident report. The hotel is completely at fault for miscommunication and complete inconvenience. We lose around an hour plus of our one night stay.

First, the positive. Parking was convenient, check in was easy, and the property is very clean. The not so positive, for the price and the online ratings for this property, we were a little disappointed. It is a beautiful property and probably is just aging out. We booked a king room and the mattress was very uncomfortable, had a hard ridge in the middle of the bed and saggy on the sides. We had a second floor room, and it snowed heavily the night before. The roof is metal and as the snow melted and dropped down from the 3rd floor it made a loud noise literally every few minutes (like someone slamming a door) that lasted most of the day. Also, the breakfast buffet advertised chicken fried steak, and we the first morning we were told there was none, that the menu was chef's choice. The second day we were told the same thing, so maybe chicken fried steak is not ever served? Take note, lunch is not served at all, so if you want to eat lunch you don't have an option at the hotel. That would have been important information to have, especially on a snowy day. Also, dinner is by reservation only, and the restaurant was not staffed to serve very many people. We went downstairs at 6 pm with 4 people and there were maybe 20 people in the restaurant, and were told we would need to come back at 7:45 pm. So onsite dining options are very limited, and the quality of the food is average. Would have expected more for a booking of almost $500 a night.

Good location! Make sure you get on the list if dining in the restaurant - they do not take reservations. Saloon restaurant was good but understaffed. Overall a nice property!

Our hotel experience was great. However the restaurant and bar experience was not good. Our food took a long time to come out and after other tables came in after us got their food before, some of the items were cold when it came out, the manager did give a slight discount. The drinks in the bar were very weak (like the alcohol was watered down) when we questioned the bartender he got real defensive and unprofessional and tried to kick us out! I don’t remember the bar tenders name but he had a piney tail.

A nice hotel. We got room a room on the second floor, right next to the elevator, mechanicsl room, laundry shoot and outside view was of air condition units and other building services. IT WAS CRAZY LOUD BOTH NIGHTS, WITH AC UNITS, ELEVATOR ARRIVAL GONGS, LAUNDRY SHOOT DOOR SLAMMING AND YOU COULD HEAR EVEYBODY GETTING ON AND OFF THE ELEVATOR. also no fault of the hotel, but we got a crying infant in the next room most of the first night. The room was nice and clean, the hotel was nice, just that room ****** to be fair.

Visibly dirty. And when I saw dirty know it was really dirty. The onsite dining was revolting and 10x the cost of the fine dining we had in Scottsdale and Sedona. Very very disappointing
