Mathraki Resort

Great resort with friendly staff and great facilities. Good location with a 10 min walk to the beach and bars/ restaurants. The only reason this got 4* opposed to 5* would be the cooking facilities within the Mill where we stayed. The cooking facilities were limited with no oven or toaster available to make any meals. Food and a bar within the resort eased that problem. Privacy was not as good as the main path from other rooms/Apartments went right through the Mills seating area and past the entrance door. All in a great resort and would definitely use again if we plan to return.

First impressions at entrance was really good, gorgeous exterior, well lit up. Met on arrival by Nikos. Really friendly and showed us to our apartment. We were able to check in before arrival so this also saved time. We booked a 2 bed apartment overlooking the garden. Apartments were clean and tidy and maintained daily. Lots of wardrobe space, nice big fridge and freezer and large balcony area. Small kitchen, only downside to apt was no lounge area but large balcony balanced this. Pool area was immaculately clean and always had loungers available. We had breakfast lunch and dinner on different occasions in the tavern and the food was always delicious and fresh. Really good variety on the menu to suit all. Also had a great range of drinks. For a family run business, there was always someone available if you had any questions queries, I found them all to be always polite and helpful even during busy times. The complex is about 5 minute walk to gouvia centre where there are lots of restaurants, bars and the beach. The bus stop is only a 2 minute walk and brings you directly into Corfu Town and also can bring you to ther towns and beaches along the route. Good Central location. Overall would highly recommend.

Mathraki is a lovely little resort which provides a real personal touch due to its fairly small size and the fact it's exclusively family run. We stayed with our 5 month old baby as we were over for a wedding and at no point did we feel like a pain or inconvenience to anyone. The pool area is great and has plenty of (very comfy sunbeds for guests. The reviews speak for themselves - highly recommend.

Another amazing, relaxing stay at The Mathraki Resort. Very peaceful place to stay. Great pool & Bar area. Lovely food. Beautiful gardens, so relaxing. Nice clean rooms with air-conditioning. We absolutely loved it at the Mathraki Resort. The safe, family-run environment is great for families and the staff were all really friendly. The pool area was great and the new sun loungers extremely comfortable. It is only a short walk into Gouvia, so a very convenient location. And a bus stop at the end of the road for visiting Corfu Town. We had a wonderful holiday here. Highly recommend :)

Great family run resort. Hosts are friendly, kind and helpful and have great communication. There are a variety of rooms, with self catering items and a little shop about 30 metres from the door! The resort is clean and comfortable, the pool area and gardens lovely and well maintained with great food in the cafe, I recommend highly the family recipes ( delicious) , if you don’t want to make the short walk to Gouvia, (where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a beach area). You can go to a shop in Gouvia ( I used Magdelena) to go on boat trips. Mathraki is central for exploring the island and they arranged a hire car and transfer taxi to and from the airport. There are buses nearby to Corfu town and other beaches Dassia and Ipsos. I enjoyed exploring the islands. Bring beach shoes.
