Manor on the Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which exceeded expectations. The accommodations were stunning, with breathtaking scenery, immaculate rooms and thoughtful touches. The owners generously stocked our fridge with complimentary refreshments. Their warm hospitality, kindness and attentive service made us feel right at home. Exceptional experience deserving of 10 stars. We eagerly anticipate our next visit.

Apart from the amazing views that this beautiful gem has to offer it comes with comfort, safety and a great breakfast. The hosts ( beautiful husband and wife team) are friendly and attentive to your needs. The location is perfect and allows for variety within walking distance. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the fresh morning odour of the ocean is something certainly worth coming back for. Well done Jenni and Sebastiaan!

The hosts are warm, welcoming and so helpful. The rooms are spacious, neat, clean, fully-equipped, fully-stocked and comfortable. Our room had a shower and bath which is such a bonus. It is always difficult to travel with toddlers and young children but the Manor house staff and hosts were so accommodating and willing to do anything to make our little ones comfortable too. The beach is right over the road and all other amenities are a few minutes drive or easy walking distance away. Was a pleasure to stay here.

Beautiful accommodation with friendly staff! The rooms are spacious. This Heritage Building was build in 1862! Exceptional breakfast! Walking distance to Restaurants. Definitely the best located accommodation option in the Gordon’s Bay area.

I made a mistake when booking our trip to South Africa and my wife booked this last minute. BUT what a great surprise. This is run by Jenny and her helpful husband, Basjan (lol ok its Sebastian but I like his nickname better). The room we had was a family room which had a double bed and a double bunk with a kitchen and a great bathroom. The room was very clean and the beds very very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed in it including a very well stocked mini bar. The room had a great view of the ocean and speaking of the ocean, its literally across the road so in summer this place would be ideal to spend some time in the water. Our booking included breakfast and all i can say is wow. You will not need for anything as you quite simply had it all to hand. Food was fresh, coffee was fresh, juice was fresh and the small cheeses a reminder of child hood. We went to a local steak house for dinner which was just down the road and as for safety, you get given a remote for the gate and it is very well lit when you return to your room. The best thing about this place, and believe me there is lots good about it and would definitely recommend it, but its the people who run Manor on the Bay. They are both friendly and accommodating and made our stay very welcoming. You check in with a lovely glass of sherry or two or three LOL LOL, never to early in South Africa. Great place to start our awesome South African holiday and we will definately be staying there again as soon as we can.
