Always spotlessly cleaned on arrival, wonderful customer service, Five star accommodations. My wife and I love having our private getaway to rekindle or marriage and just get away from the world. If you’ve never been here you’re missing out.

My husband and I stayed at Sybaris Northbrook on January 9, 2025, in Room #6 and our experience was an absolute nightmare. The next day, my husband noticed bed bug bites on several parts of his leg. After doing some research, we confirmed that the bites were indeed from bed bugs. We immediately reported this to the Northbrook manager, Natalie Rivera, who confirmed that bed bugs were found in the room. However, she was incredibly dismissive, insisting they had only found “one single bed bug”—as if that made the situation any less serious! When I pointed out that it only takes one bed bug to spread rapidly, she was rude, unprofessional, and completely unconcerned. Eventually, she hung up on me rather than addressing our concerns. Hoping for a better response, I called Sybaris Corporate and spoke with Cynthia. Unfortunately, after weeks of getting the runaround, I never received a promised follow-up or any resolution. Our concerns were completely brushed aside, and we were left feeling unheard, unsupported, and ignored. This situation has affected us mentally, emotionally, and physically. My husband suffered physical discomfort from the bites, while I experienced extreme mental and emotional distress knowing we had unknowingly slept in a bed infested with bed bugs. It has been a complete nightmare. Sybaris failed to maintain cleanliness, failed to address our concerns, and failed to follow up. Their lack of professionalism and negligence in handling this situation has been beyond frustrating. Because of this experience, we will never return to any Sybaris location and strongly advise others to stay away. No one should have to go through what we did.

We couldn't get out of suite # 6. I had to call the front desk to report we couldn't get out. Great if there was a fire or emergency. We finally got the door open after my husband struggled with it. There was a chair positioned over a metal air duct, it was dented in and not attached to floor. The jacuzzi was not much to rave about, a straw blowing bubbles would have been more than it produced. Also very slippery getting in, would it break them to put in something non skid? We are life members, it seems that each time we go after that life membership it's been getting worse. It's not worth the price to come here anymore. I'll find a hotel with a jacuzzi and get better service. When I told the guy on check out all this he said he'd get back to me that afternoon. It's been two days now, no reply. This review goes up. Don't bother going.

The remodel is beautiful and bright. Clean as always. My honey and I love decompressing and reconnecting here. Plenty pillows for comfy sleepy sleeps. Ultra dark, you can kill some sleep there. The mural is strangely zen. So much fun and relaxation.

My husband and I went for a nice getaway that was well deserved. The room and pool were both very clean. That is one of the first things I look at when we stay somewhere. The girl at the front desk was so nice and accommodating to all our needs. We did a late check out and that was even better. I hope to stay again in the near future.
