Hotel Alexander

Just returned from a lovely holiday.Staff and owner so friendly and helpful,Octavio such a nice person nothing too much trouble speaks good english too.Very clean and tidy spotless,throughout.Had a room at the top so lovely view. Would highly recommend so quiet and relaxing.Loraine and Les.Plumb.

Hotel was very clean, good size rooms, nice swimming pool with plenty of sun beds, breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Staff were really friendly and helpful , especially when they helped us book the mount etna tour. The area is quiet with a small selection of lovely restaurants nearby and close to beach, but we found the beaches further up Naxos better which is about 20 minute’s walk. Over all a lovely holiday, strongly recommend.

A very nicely decorated hotel with lots of Sicilian motifs and pictures. Beautiful and spacious rooms, very nice bathroom, terrace (ours with a view of Mount Etna). Everything is very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly, the landlady Virdzini is always at your service and very kind, nice and smiling, the woman is an empress. The rest of the staff are also at your service and always smiling. If you stayed at the pool, you will enjoy the kind and smiling Salvatore who will fulfill your every wish, he made us coffee, made cocktails, prepared lasagna for lunch👌, a wonderful man, a big thank you to him. The hotel is in a quiet area, Rekanati, Gardini Naxos, near the beach, where guests of the hotel have a discount on sunbeds. There is a bus station nearby for Taormima (return ticket €3), Catania, Syracuse... All in all a wonderful experience in a wonderful country with wonderful people. My husband and I were in Sicily this summer and we stayed at the Alexander hotel for seven nights. Immediately I have to say that I read all the reviews on this site that are sent to the hotel (good and bad), so I thought I knew what I should expect. However, the hotel surprised me in a positive way, and that is the reason I want to leave a comment. The hotel is really located about 150m from the beach and in a very quiet part of Giardini Naxos. It is very nice and the rooms are very spacious and very clean- that is very important to me. They clean rooms every day and they change towels every morning. The hotel staff is attentive, friendly and always willing to help and give advice about staying on the island, tours, location ... Especially, I want to emphasize that one of the owners is always in the hotel, or Mrs. Virginia or her wonderful father, so that you can always ask them if you need anything. During our stay they tried to help us in every way. I saw a comment on "meager" breakfast in the hotel and I was afraid because my husband can eat a lot and since I was already familiar with what means in Italy continental breakfast, but luckily there was plenty of food. Every morning we were served: cereals, yogurt, jam, ham, cheese, salami, biscuits, bread, watermelon, cakes and obligatory coffee or tea of your choice. The waitress was constantly filling the plates so that no one is left hungry. I want to add that we had a very spacious room with a balcony with a view of the sea and the volcano Etna, it was great view to enjoy on our honeymoon :) And finally I want to say hello to a lovely lady Virginia and her fantastic father, Alessandro, who has made my stay in Sicily complete and helped me to practice my Italian. In any case, all recommendations for the hotel and the wonderful people who stay and work in it.

We had our 1st holiday as a couple with no children , and all I can say is thank you so much for making it very memorable. The owners and employees could not have been more welcoming and friendly. In our experience and opinion this hotel is a hidden gem. The rooms are clean and light with everything you need. The hotel is close to the beach and restaurants also with the advantage of the small but adequate bus station nearby, this station is also a pickup point for a lot of the excursions you may like to do .

All of the staff at this hotel were lovely and so helpful! It is a short walk from the beach and restaurants in Giardini Naxos and the bus that goes to Taormina stops right outside. The breakfast is simple but perfect to start the day with!
