Skyline Lodge

I called the hotel on the way there since my daughter wanted to choose a room close to her friends. A man answered the phone and told me that I would know which room I got when we arrived. I told him that the mother of my daughter’s friend said their rooms were assigned before they arrived. He said no. You get your room when you check in. After we arrived, a lady was there. I asked whether we could get a room close to my daughter’s friends. She said that our room was assigned already that I couldn’t choose room according to our book on trip.com. It is a room close to the lobby with two double beds. I said I booked double queen beds. I didn’t know how big double beds are. She said it is a little bit smaller than queen beds. She said I could peek from the window and see how big the double beds are. I peeked and couldn’t figure it out. I asked her whether she can open the door for me to take a look. She said no. She said If I got in, they had to sanitize the room again. I still don’t understand how taking a look at a room will make a room unclean. Since my family was waiting, I ended up accepting the assigned room. For the two days we stayed, there was no water in the lobby. You need to ask the front desk to give you water. There is no hot water when my husband tried to take a shower the second night we lodged. This was a disappointing experience for me and my family.

Made a reservation for a handicap accessible room. Did not have one available. Had to stay on second floor using sketchy stairs.
