The Tillie Pierce House Inn

We stayed in the Hettie suite. While this could have been a good experience we left extremely disappointed. It's clear the owners have no idea what details are important. First, be advised there is no staff onsite overnight, this is basically a boarding house. The listing said "triple room ensuite" it wasn't. Just a bedroom and small bath with an extremely uncomfortable bed. No A/C control in the room and no fan, so we roasted over night. No trash can in the room. No closet or wardrobe (which was expected) but not even a single hanger for a shirt. Common areas had TVs which could be heard very clearly right through the walls at all hours. On top of that, the website stated free breakfast and gluten free options. I noted in the reservation that we needed GF and I let the staff know upon check-in as well. But the only GF option was some barely cooked, frozen "home fries". Overall extremely disappointed especially considering the price.

Single rooms that are named after women of Gettysburg, during the battle. Was clean and comfortable. Our room faced Baltimore St. and was on the second floor. There was a TV, in community room and a sitting room, on first floor. Handmade breakfasts, were very good and homemade baked goods were available all the time. Parking in rear of the house.

It was quaint and a great location but the cleanliness was something to desire. The breakfast area looked like the table clothe hadn’t been changed in a few days. Our room had dust bunnies all over the floor. The bathroom had towels on the floor as rugs.
