I have not traveled for years but when I did, I always chose Marriott. I was disappointed in this Residence Inn:
1) Cleanliness- Outside of room, leading up to front door, was dirty, dusty, had misc. paint marks, did not inspire confiedence
2) In side of room: Popcorn ceiling, choice of color in room, etc. Had to look under bathroom sink to find Kleenex
3) Breakfast- eggs were cold, muffins were stale
Based on this, I will consider not staying at Residence Inn

I've waited several months to write this review as the General Manager assured me that my experience would be "made right". It is now six months later and nothing has been done. I was faced with rude front desk staff from the moment I checked in and throughout my stay. My room was extremely dirty: carpet was left unvacuumed and dishes unclean. I had general safety concerns: broken and chipped glasses and a broken nob on cooktop which made it unable to be used. The light was burned out in the refrigerator which was never changed. All of these concerns were addressed to the front desk staff, housekeeping, and management during my VERY short stay at this property, all of which were ignored. Thankfully, I was able to get another hotel in the area the next day.

Don’t stay here! Very rundown. I can’t believe Marriott allows their name on this. Bathroom door frame patched. Looks like a 5 year old did it. Mold in the bathtub. Blackout curtains ripped. Stains in the ceiling. Hallways need serious maintenance. Front desk is great. Hotel needs to be renovated. Definitely not up to Marriott standards.

First, I will say that all staff members that we interacted with were great - friendly and helpful. That said, this hotel, or as least our room, was in rough shape and badly in need of remodeling. Really everything needs to be updated. The kitchen area, the seating/tables/desk, the bathrooms, the curtains. The bed was fine, comfortable and clean. Marriott needs to step up and remodel this hotel.

We stay exclusively at Residence Inns as we travel with a standard poodle, probably have stayed in around 50 different ones all over the country. This was was really good: if not new, well maintained, wonderful desk woman at check in and saw her next morning with big smile on her face. In a complex with several other Marriott brands with several restaurants nearby. A nice stay here.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn Memphis Germantown and had a deeply troubling experience. During my stay, I misplaced my iPhone. Although it was found and handed over to the front desk, I was falsely informed that it had been returned to me. To my dismay, I later discovered that an employee had accessed my personal information, including financial details and photos, and had wiped the device, resetting all my important access information. This breach of privacy left me terrified that my personal records had been compromised. Despite multiple attempts to address the issue with the hotel management and Marriott’s customer service, no action was taken, and I received no compensation for the ordeal. This experience has severely undermined my trust in Marriott’s commitment to guest security and customer service. I urge future guests to exercise caution when considering a stay at this property.

Don’t stay here. The hotel is in need of major renovations. Hard to believe that Marriott Bonvoy allows this hotel in their fleet of accommodations. The door to the bedroom was not painted on one side and didn’t close. Actually a good thing because there was no door handle! The caulking in the bathroom looked like a 7 year old did it and there was no drain plug in the bathroom sink. The furniture had to have come from Goodwill as it was torn up. The dishwasher didn’t work and was missing the front panel. The built in cabinets in both kitchen and bathroom were scratched and marked like they were ready to be repainted. The windows had that fog in the pains so the seals were obviously broken. On a good note, the towels and sheets were clean as they smelled of bleach. We would have moved but it was late and pouring down rain. I want my Bonvoy points back!

Great hotel . best place to visit with family. Nice and polite staff at the reception..The rooms are very clean,the food in the restaurant is good for a 5* hotel. It is also close to the beach. In general it was very pleasant stay and definitely recommend this hotel.I felt like at home there and will come back again in future.

Very bad. Should not have the Marriott name. Arrived in the evening in the middle of a road trip with my family of four. Unfortunately, we unpacked all our stuff before realizing the room was in terrible shape. Broken furniture. Stained mattresses. Mildew on the bathroom mirror. A tub that doesn't drain. Furniture with marks and chunks taken out of it. Just overall grose and in serious need of renovation. We didn't ask to move because it was late, and we had to get the little ones to sleep. We came close to just leaving and losing out on the overpriced cost. The room was not worth anywhere near the $280 per night list price.
