Hotel Family-friendly George Town

I recently stayed at The Granite Luxury Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a luxury hotel. Upon arrival, I noticed several issues in my room: - The bathroom light was flickering non-stop, making it uncomfortable to use. - There was visible mold and unidentified stains in the bathroom, which raised serious hygiene concerns. - The clothing rack was rusted and looked like it hadn’t been maintained in years. - Inside the cabinet, I found broken pieces, which was both inconvenient and disappointing. I reported these issues to the front desk late at night. For a hotel that claims to offer luxury accommodations, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness was unacceptable. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their standards to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Loved my stay! We were soooo happy to be upgraded to a room with a view that was sooooo spacious! Stayed there for four nights over nye and had a great view of the fireworks!! My only complaint would be that there isn’t a Nespresso coffee machine in the room (which is a surprise given that most hotels now offer them) nor do they provide cotton wool (isn’t that also a basic provision?). Do note that the hotel doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water either, and only tap with filtered water… however I did appreciate them giving out mint water/ pandan bluepea water in the afternoon for guests (wished that it’s all day long!) at the lobby.

Location is very strategic, walking distance to most famous restaurants, attractions. Hotel room was ok, with wall mount aircond that easy to adjust room temperature, bathroom needs improvement. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

The room that specially designed. Also is my first hotel that provides ceiling fans on top of air conditioner, allowing customer to switch based on their preferences. Strategic location, stone throw distancr to penang chendul. Staffs are friendly. Highly recommended

Travel with my mom to Penang first time. The hotel was chosen because it’s just a few steps away from Gurney Plaza. Free ice creams were served when we arrived and checked in hotel. The room at high floor is very spacious. However, the facilities are quite simple consider it’s a five star hotel. The washroom is not user friendly especially for oldies. First day after showering, we found bath towels got stains. We informed hotel service staff, they came to changed them immediately with apologies. The room has sea view, the breakfasts are nice and tasty. It’s a pleasant stay overall, will consider to visit again next time!

The hotel location at Jalan Pinang Georgtown Penang.The room hotel is ok and aircond is cold. Parking is free but limited provide by the hotel. Staff is friendly & helpfull. Easy to get the food & beverage by walking distance.

Pro : - Staff was friendly and helpful for your stays. - Location was great and located near every travel spot in george town and bus terminal. - Near the shopping mall and shops. - Very convenience for public transport. Con : - There are some stain on the wall and shower room. Its look like lack of maintenance. - Toilet cannot flush on the first night but staff was helpful. - Its look like lack of maintenance on public facilities.

This hotel is located near from everything. You can walk to the bus station if you need take a bus. Little India and Art Street was just 7 to 10 minutes away. There was a convenient store next to this building where you can buy some snacks and beer. However, the room where I was given, there was no refrigerator either hair dryer. I am not sure about other rooms so we needed borrow a hair dryer from the reception. There was a small restaurant and according to my mom from 05:00 a.m. she could hear many motor bikes pass away or stop around that place which disturbed sleep on the weekdays. I would say overall I was satisfied with this accommodation with resonable price.
