Hotel la Mariposa

Nice cozy and clean hotel, pets are welcome. But the gems are the owners, a britisch couple. Food is excellent, the mystery ****** games give a big laugh and you make new friends. Parking is next to the hotel, safe area. We stayed with a group at christmas 2024

What a find this lovely hotel is and the location is perfect. Gavin is a great host and the food is wonderful. We first visited in September and when our friend visited us from the US we had to take her there and she was equally impressed. We have booked for Christmas and cannot wait to spend time enjoying the food and company. Not sure the 2 recent reviews have the same place in mind because their reviews absolutely do not give a true reflection of the hotel or its hosts. There is always someone wanting to spread undeserved negativity, sadly it's reflection of who they are and not who they are reviewing.

A perfect evening with amazing hosts We took the opportunity to go back to a hotel we went to a few years ago that is now under new ownership They have an offer on at the moment at weekends €100 for a night with a steak dinner for 2, breakfast €5 per person, we chose a sausage butty, mmm very nice, breakfast cake is the best, all fresh food, baking all home made It’s a must to go to the food was fab, the wine perfect, rooms so clean and great hosts Great walks from the doorstep or fab roads/hills for any bikers

Excellent food on one of their 'Burger ' night's. We ordered the vegetable patties, which were absolutely delicious. One of the best homemade patties ever. The chips and onion rings were all handmade and so tasty. A very cosy environment with the pot bellied stove lit and lighting on the terrace. I would 100% recommend this place.

Not a great experience, our group stayed for a couple of nights, the food was sub standard at best, staff arguing was not a good sign, we found the new owner brash and rude and the whole hotel looked tired and not very colourful, we stayed a few years ago with the same group and it was 100% first class, the new owners do not have a clue.

Located on the route across the Espuna mountains, with spectacular views across the open countryside, the Hotel La Mariposa provided us with a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and delicious food throughout our short stay. Whilst there are outdoor activities available in close proximity for those seeking adventure, Hotel La Mariposa is the perfect location for those who simply wish to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings or to lounge around the pool. Rooms are spacious, clean and themed individually to a standard that exceeds the 1-star official rating. The menu provides for different tastes and the food is freshly prepared to an excellent standard. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, ensuring that we were well catered for throughout our stay. Overall, a very good experience and we certainly intend to return in the future.
