The Fern Samali Resort

We visit Fern Samali in the first week on June. And these were the major highlights of the trip : 1) They have nature trail / bird watching complementary activity in the morning at 7 am which is amazing and a very unique experience. The guide Pooja Gurav was amazing and knowledgeable. She goes extra mile to make guests feel comfortable. We got to see birds like seven sisters , dronko etc which we don’t get to see in metro cities 2) second major highlight was farm visit where we saw Japanese mango tree with blue mangoes ***** with alphonso and kesar mango trees . My kid enjoyed farm visit and feeding the bull. A big thanks again to Pooja Gurav for taking us through and giving all the information. Suyog served us aam panna which was delicious. 3) Food at the resort was very delicious and had huge variety. Special thanks to Trupti , Aaditya, Sanjita , Chef and the entire restaurant staff for taking personal care and making us feel home 4) We enjoyed live music , folk dance show and even the nature movie which were organised at the night 8pm 5) Rooms were huge and spacious with nice big balcony with swing overlooking The Valley 6) They have more than 100 variety of plants and trees in their resort 7) ducks were loved by my kiddo 8) play area for kids is also well maintained 9) clean swimming pool with music was good experience too 10) they also have activities like coloring to keep the kids engaged Overall if you are going with kids they will have gala time and so will you

Overall a good experience..the property is really good..the food also was fantastic.the credit goes to the staff there...they are extremely helpful ,courteous and warm people..amazed by their hospitality... But the beds in the rooms of Magnolia are very soft and had no height....found difficult to sleep...they need to extend the height...the lights in the room is too dim.should be more powerful.. Miss Pooja accompanied us to the mango farm there...she is very sweet and gave us a good tour...explained us and our kids very nicely about the process and all.. Served us with delicious aam Panna....

We spent 3 nights at this super green and well-managed resort. This was our first trip to the Konkan area and this place was all we could have looked for, a calm place, a green landscape, great views yet close to the beach and a fantastic service team. Resort/Property - 4.5/5 - well maintained, many new things are being built, which I hope will make it better Food and Restaurant - 4.5/5 - The team of Bibek, Bhutnath, Trina and all made our stay wonderful. They took care of our custom food requests and couldn't have been asked for anything better House Keeping - 5/5 - Very prompt and always there when you wanted Additional activities that we did - Nature Trek (bird watching) and Trip to the Mango Orchard - 5/5 - This was well designed and managed by Pooja. She was very passionate about her work and the icing on the cake was morning tea (for the nature walk) and the locally made Aam Panna (which was super yummy) Loved the idea of live music and promoting local dance and culture. However, this needs more focus and guests should have a better way to view/enjoy the same to appreciate it better Here is what I would suggest and recommend - Points to improve - The Internet in our room rarely worked (301) - I feel the line had an issue and this should be looked at. Was a letdown when we needed it at times. - The buffet breakfast could have been much better. We loved the ala carte food far more - The kitchen is far from the restaurant and the fleet of stairs makes it harder to serve the guests efficiently. It was evident. - Parking needs to be looked at, it can be tough to get a spot - The Xara shop needs to be stocked up and guests should have the ability to buy their organically grown mangoes (this will be a great way to get the good stuff) Overall we loved the place and we would love to come back hoping for a better experience

The Fern Samali has situated at beat place on hill surrounded by trees. Even hotel has planted different types of tree and flower plants in area which makes entire area more pleasant. I guess you can visit here anytime. Though the summer is hot, the environment here being trees planted here makes little pleasant. I must say rainy season will give different vibe here. Staff here is kind and helpful. Services they provide with wide smile. Hotel also arranges various activity. Mango tree plantation tour, drawing for kids and one of the best was nature trail which is early in d morning where pooja takes you to in the back trees jungle where you can spot various birds. She has good knowledge of birds. She was sweet, helpful n always smiling and welcoming. She also guided us on places near hotel to visit. Even Kishore from restaurant was very caring n helpful. Overall it was such a great experience that we will definitely visit again.

The experience was fabulous. We met pooja at the reception and she was so helpful. She explained us room configuration and then suggested and upgraded us to Tulip room. Thank you Pooja. The room was ausome with a super open view without any obstruction. The swimming pool was very clean. Enjoyed a lot. Restuarant and food was very nice. The treatment given by the staff makes you feel good. I suggest please take a stay for atleast 3 nights. Thank you Fern. Nice experience.

Excellent resort in terms of service, food ( lots of choices in Indian, Western, and local cuisine), ambience and accommodation choices. It's a pet friendly resort where pets are also welcomed very nicely. Must enjoy the pool, nature walk, children's play area, and ambience around the resort. Very special mention of and thanks to reception staff Mr Puneet, Ms Pooja, Aafiya, Riya; hotel staff Mr Bhootnath, Mr Bibek, Mr Kiran, Shreyas, Abubakar, Ms Pratiksha, Ms Muskaan for making our stay so comfortable and lovely. Also thanks to Mr Vankar the security staff for his courtesy. Definitely a resort that is worth visiting many times over.

The resort is quite good and the staff was too calm and polite and very helpful and good service was provided by trina and Deepali at the restaurant, overall stay was great and enjoyed a lot. Well maintained, clean and hygienic. ***** with wast photogenic property.

Overall very good experience. Very motivated and enthusiastic staff - restaurant, house keeping, other activities. We had a very good bird watching tour in the premises. Guide Pooja is very familiar with surroundings and birds. We would like to visit again and spend more days.

Excellent service. Good location. Great hospitality by Sanjeeta, Deepali, Trina in the restaurant. Good amenities. Property is well maintained. Staff are very cordial. Good accessibility from Pune and other areas in Maharashtra. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
