Lovely on the outside but that is it. Reception staff are great. Worst PI hotel room I’ve experienced. Aircon didn’t work, fan in bathroom didn’t work, lights missing in bathroom and stagnant water dripping through. Water also gathering on ceiling. Smell of damp in full room was awful. Rooms not worth a fraction of what’s being charged.

Absolutely terrible place; I've stayed in better hotels in third world countries. the place was absolutely filthy, with stains down the walls, and bed, and mould all over the bathroom, with rotting door frames. We had to sleep in our clothes due to the dirty bed, and had a three hour drive home after just an hours sleep. people were smoking in their rooms so clearly the smoke alarms don't work My biggest complaint is how disgustingly they have treated my 82 year old mother, who hasn't been offer a penny after paying for a room and a suit for my sisters family. She has been called a liar and been left traumatised by the entire trip, which was supposed to be a joyous occasion as she gave my niece away at her wedding. This hotel isn't fit for farm animals, let alone charging £130 for a nights stay; they should be ashamed

We arrived early hoping to relax in the bar as we had on previous visits before checking in. No suck luck bar and restaurant closed until 6.00pm. A member of staff suggested we return to the village to one of the pubs. It was explained to us that the restaurant and bar is now only open to residents for breakfast and dinner. Are residents not entitled to lunch? Later after checking in we discovered there was no TV handset, only one hand towel and the room was far smaller than any we had been allocated on previous visits. We have had really good experiences at this hotel previously and had been looking forward to the same again. How wrong we were! When going for dinner we were shocked at the state of the restaurant entrance. The doors were in bad need of a cost of paint. The carpet in the vestibule was covered in grass and leaves and both toilets were closed and looked like they had been for some time. We were advised that the full menu was unavailable and were given two A4 typed sheets showing the reduced menu. The bar had hardly any stock-only one bottle of unknown gin being available! The restaurant is big but only one section is now in use the rest being unfurnished. Dinner was fine. Breakfast the next morning was also ok. This was being cooked by a member of staff who also had to run reception meaning she was running between two buildings both to cook and see to hotel residents oh and to answer the phone. This is totally unacceptable health and safety comes to mind! How you can expect to run a hotel with as few staff as were there is a joke. We have no problem at all with the staff they were all doing the best they good under ridiculous circumstances and were all polite and helpful. We will not be going again.

Nice hotel from the outside, decidedly shabby inside. Extremely poor staffing with, on saturday night one duty manager trying to run a bar, a restaurant and reception! (He was brilliant by the way worked very hard and professionally in very difficult conditions.

Despite the busy road it was very quiet in the room. Plenty of parking and a few yards to the Leeds Liverpool canal. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The difference between the level of service now compared to 2022 is beyond words. Shocking service compared to our last stay. Last time it was amazing and the staff were great now though it was just clear they didn’t want to be there and we have wasted our money. We should have read the reviews before coming as I think the staff are just fed up with poor management so can’t really blame them for the bad attitude. They didn’t have anything in the bar hardly and the menu was reduced due to no staff but didn’t let us know upon check in that it was a reduced menu or we would have made plans elsewhere. Nearly no bottled cider, no lemonade draft or bottles, no coke either! This should have been mentioned upon check in. Not to mention the bar doesn’t open till 6pm and it’s only for 4 hours as it closes for 10pm. Asked for a couple of items on the reduced menu and were told they didn’t even have them! This was 30 minutes after they opened so they clearly didn’t have any from the start so again why not say. Half these problems could have been fixed with a bit of planning and communication with guests. I think you would get less complaints this way as at least guests are aware of the lack of services they will receive. The room was overly a bit grubby. Would not recommend and would rather pay more to stay elsewhere. The only good thing was the free parking.

The hotel is conveniently situated for Skipton and surrounding area but at first sight looks very run down, an impression that doesn't alter once inside. If you arrive mid-afternoon and fancy chilling out with a cool drink, forget it. The bar doesn't open until 6pm and is for hotel guests evening meals only. We had an evening meal on the first night and my gammon was burnt to a cinder. It shoukd never have left the kitchen like that but that is how it was served. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful but once inside you may have to chase round for a television remote, tea,coffee and sugar and any other things we used to take for granted while staying at Premier Inn. For this hotel I would rate my stay 3/10.

We had accessible room which felt damp and cold. The hotel needs updating, location is good so a shame its run down. Didn't bother with restaurant as only open for short times and toilets were closed up. Premier Inn has gone downhill. Used them a lot in the past as good value but will be looking elsewhere. Staff doing their best and friendly.

This hotel does not come up to Premier Inn usual high standard. Externally the hotel looks fine but inside it has been allowed to become shabby and run down. We were allocated a room initially which we had to refuse as the sheets were clearly damp. Another room was prepared for us but even this was in poor decor. Only one set of towels was present and even after raising this we were only given one additional hand towel. We had booked a meal deal for the two nights but as there was only the bare bones of a temporary menu available we cancelled the evening meals. Breakfast was available and was cooked to order. The restaurant appears to be in a closed pub and there was no bar open. All very run down and in separate building to the hotel. None of this comes anywhere near to the usual Premier Inns Service we have enjoyed in the past.
