Gangehi Island Resort & Spa

Kami menginap selama 4 hari di resor ini.... ingin menekankan perlunya peningkatan perilaku staf terhadap tamu...mereka kasar dan dapur memiliki waktu yang sangat terbatas untuk mengonsumsi makanan. Mereka menutup restoran bahkan saat tamu sedang makan. AC di cuaca panas seperti ini tidak cukup untuk kamar yang besar. Properti lainnya terawat dengan baik dan Nona Shinde di bagian penerima tamu adalah orang yang menyenangkan untuk ditemui.

Kami sedang bersantai dan sekarang kami berada di hotel ini. Ada 4 hari tersisa hingga akhir liburan, kami memutuskan untuk pindah ke vila di pantai; kami memilihnya dan mengonfirmasi bahwa kami akan pindah. Beberapa jam kemudian, seorang karyawan datang dan mengatakan bahwa vila tersebut sudah ditempati dan menawarkan vila lain dengan pemandangan yang tidak terlalu kasar dan pepohonan kering di sisi-sisinya. Saya sangat kecewa dengan sisa masa tinggal saya, perilaku staf di bagian penerima tamu menjijikkan, saya tidak merekomendasikan hotel ini

This place is perfect for a secluded vacation. Our house was in the ocean with private access to the water. The house has everything needed for comfortable stay🤩 It's amazing to see exotic animals, birds and fish (a loooot of different kinds) 😱 Thank you so much! This vacation was wonderful! 😍

The location and seascape is stunning with excellent snorkelling just off the beach. We had a large over water villa which was lovely. The main lounge bar is spacious and stylish and the evening buffet was tasty. Good value compared with other island resorts. However, it was a bit annoying that hotel staff do not help organise speed boat transfer. Charging for nespresso pods in the room is a bit cheeky given the cost of the room. The breakfast buffet did not have any Maldivian breakfast and finally, we couldn’t sit in the lounge bar in the evening as they had ‘activities’ like karaoke and DJ Set- no thank you!

We stayed at Gangehi Resort for 6 nights in March 2023. Our trip was moved from January after I broke my knee cap in December, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to snorkel, the whole purpose of the trip. However, the water was mostly calm and clear, and we snorkeled twice every day. There was swimming off the back of our villa, where they appear to be trying with some success to build a new reef. There is a larger beech area near the dining room where there are more fish to see and where the water is generally quite calm. In general the coral is hurting, but there are some beautiful and healthy soft corals. The entire resort can be walked around in only a few minutes. There are people working to maintain the grounds all the time. The villas are cleaned 2 times a day. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and hard working. The two who did the most to make our trip a pleasure were Nafla at the front desk and Rasheed, our waiter. Staff members seemed to come from neighboring countries, and those who interacted with guests spoke excellent English. Guests seemed to come primarily from Europe, especially Italy. We appreciated that there were no noisy activities that disturbed the general peace of the island. It was a lovely place to relax! The only thing I would change about Gangehi would be the use of so many plastic bottles. They charge for every bottle of water, even at dinner. Readily available water not in plastic bottles would be good.

Nice looking resort but service into the bar is really bad!! If you pay all inclusive you will probably wait all day for barmen and it will ruin your day. It is forbiden to take drinks away from the bar, to take it into your room so your all in you will have only into the bar and everything else you ll must to pay again. I will avoid this resort next time.
