Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze - Kinderhotel

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The room was clean with comfortable beds and were well equipped. The food was good and the service was excellent. Our kids enjoyed the options for children. The child care was professional, our kids had an amazing time. We loved being able to hike in the mountains and not having to worry about our youngest, who was not old enough to join us on all hikes. Our oldest participated in some activities as well and had a good time! The fact that everything was designed with kids in mind made the experience so great. Examples we liked were the use of a bathrobe in their size, to the cribs, to the bibs you could use during meal time, and so many other details. It really was the best choice for our family, because we didn't have to worry about a thing. We enjoyed the pools and spa on a rainy day, and on some days after dinner. These facilities were spotless and well maintained. I would happily come back here again, which is pretty rare for me. There are a few things to note here that might be useful to know for other guests. Guests should realize that their is no discount card for the cable cars in the area. We saw mentioned on the website that the Silvretta Premium card was not included in the price, but we were hoping we could still pay for it at the hotel and enjoy all the benefits. We found out at the hotel this is not an option. We ended up paying for the cable cars at the stations. A second note is for Dutch guests like ourselves. The lunch buffet consists of warm dishes and not sandwiches as we are used to in the Netherlands. For us parents, this was no problem, but our oldest son was a bit upset by this. We quickly remedied this by taking an extra packet of Nutella at breakfast and giving him a slice of bread with Nutella during lunch, if there were no options to his liking. All in all, we had a very relaxing stay and look back on a great experience.

We had the most fantastic trip in Ballunspitze with our family (children 4, 7 and 10). We found the hotel absolutely amazing. All of the people working there were lovely and so helpful and we loved the extra effort everyone went to including the cleaners of our rooms. Our children loved Bella the robot too! The facilities were brilliant for children and adults too. We loved the pools - the infinity pool is just wonderful with lovely views. The playground for kids is great as are the play areas. The food was really very good and the restaurant lovely and relaxed. The area around is just beautiful and we had a lovely time mountain biking, bouldering, hiking, doing the via Ferratas and going to the children adventure parks. Would highly recommend.

Well, so we retuned. Why, because of the child care facilities. This year there was an upgrade to the pool area - fantastic both kids (1 year and 5 years) enjoyed it tremendously. One issue with the new indoor pool area: really slippery. We saw almost everyday some one (adult or kid) falling as it is slippery (luckily not us). There also now is an outdoor infinity pool, great and very scenic. Again, child care this year was outstanding and we totally felt comfortable leaving both (or just the little one) with them while enjoying a day on the slopes. We also very much appreciated the increase in the quality of the food. Last year the presentation was already good, but this year also the taste follewd the optics. Well done. Are we coming back - yea we seriously consider it for 2020. So 2030, 2021 was not possible to visit again - but we returned in 2022. We are absolutely glad they kept the standards and we enjoyed our third stay. This time they seriously upgraded the kids area with nee rooms, facilities and a cinema/dancing area. Well done. We try to make it a permanent choice now annually to come skiing here with the kids. Keep going.

I could not have anticipated how great a stay my adult daughter (19) and I would have for our 8 nights at Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze. We had two single rooms, which we quite spacious with bed, desk, bathroom and two separate areas for clothes. The rooms were either recently renovated or immaculately maintained as they could have been new. Housekeeping tidied the room daily and checked soap dispenser etc was full. Location is excellent, one stop on the bus from Silvapark ski resort, 15 minutes on the bus to Ischgl (where we skied most days). (Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze is the second stop heading to Ischgl, so you always get a seat.) It is a short walk to Galtur village centre and supermarket. Breakfast and dinner were included and were fabulous. Breakfast is a buffet, with an amazing selection of muselies, plus cereals, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, bacon, eggs, sausages, yogurts, juices etc. Dinner was appetizer and salad buffet, soup or smoothie, main course (chosen from 6 options), desert and cheese buffet. Everything was delicious. There was also cake, fruit and cold cuts put on each afternoon from 2:30 - 5pm, with plenty for everyone. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful. One final aspect that did not apply for us but looked to be amazing was the way Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze caters for kids. They have activities on every day and every evening, with three or four age groups. This looked to include essentially day care for the littlest ones while the rest of the family ski. There are kids meals, drinks and desserts every night all buffet. So I guess the only time Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze might not suit is if you preferred not to share your stay with many many families and children eg perhaps a honeymoon. Overall an amazing stay, and would totally recommend. Being from Australia not sure if we will be back to Ischgl/Galtur, but if we were we would not want to stay anywhere else.

Das Hotel bietet für Familien mit Kindern ein gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis,insofern man keine Ansprüche hinsichtlich resourcenorientierter Lebensmittel und umweltschonender Handlungstrategien hat.Das Hotel bietet eine umfassende Kinderbetreuung im großen Kidsspielebereich,ein Hallenbad mit Spaßrutschen und ein Kinderbuffet mit Lieblingsgerichten der Kinder wir Pizza, Nudeln ,Eis etc.,den ganzen Tag gibt es freie Softdrinks und fast durchgehend Essensangebote,Kinder können hier ihren Bedürfnissen nachkommen.Wir Erwachsenen haben uns weniger wohl gefühlt,uns gefielen die baulichen Maßnahmen von Stammhaus zum neuen Anbau nicht, alles verwinkelt und die Übergänge ungünstig ,konzipiert , um zb. ins Fitness zu kommen oder zum Infinity Pool muß man lange Distanzen überwinden.Die Treppe die zum Skikeller führt, müsste erneuert werden, ebenso die Stufen im Treppenhaus im alten Trakt ,diese sind unterschiedlich hoch:(, die Fassade des Hauses und der Ausleger könnten mal renoviert werden, der Rezeptionsbereich ist ungünstig klein konzipiert und nur über eine Treppe erreichbar( Koffer müssen getragen werden), insgesamt könnnte man den alten Bereich renovieren, die Zimmer mit einbezogen.Die Zimmer sind sauber ,eher unmodern eingerichtet ,im Bad fehlen Ablagemöglichkeiten, ist aber tip top sauber.Der Wellnessbereich ist klein und weniger gut strukturiert, mit 8 Liegen im Whirlpoolbereich:(, in den Infinitypool auf dem Dach ,kann man nur von Außen durch die Kälte einsteigen. Das Hallenbad ist gemütlich warm und wird gerne von den Kindern genutzt, für Erwachsene eignet sich der Vormittag für die Benutzung.Die Essens und Getränkeangebote sind vielfältig , aber für unsere Philosophie zu wenig resourcenorintiert und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend, mehr quantitativ als qualitativ.Im Speisesaal sitzt man gemütlich(tiroler Ambiente) ,in den Essensstoßzeiten ist es sehr umtriebig und lauter, da der Raum groß konzipiert ist.Das Servicepersonal im gesamten Hotel ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zugewandt.Einen Nachhaltigkeitsgedanken konnten wir in diesem Hotel, bis auf ein paar bio/regionalen Produkten und der E-Tankstelle nicht wirklich erkennen.

Als allererstes müssen wir sagen, dass es unseren Kindern sehr gut gefallen hat im Hotel Ballunspitze. Wir hatten im Allgemeinen sehr schöne Ferien. Die Kinderbetreuerinnen sind alle sehr nett und freundlich. Die Chefin vom Hotel war auch sehr nett und hat immer freundlich gegrüsst. Leider waren die Damen am Empfang mehrheitlich unfreundlich. (vor allem die Dame mit den blonden Haaren) Bei Fragen wurde eher schnippisch geantwortet und beim Vorbeilaufen an der Reception kam nie ein "Guten Morgen" oder "einen schönen Tag"..Die Herzlichkeit hat uns leider sehr gefehlt.. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut und es gab immer viel Auswahl. Was uns aber gestört hat war, dass das Geschirr teilweise nicht sauber war und wir z.B. mehrere Tassen zuerst anschauen mussten, bis wir eine saubere Tasse hatten. Das haben wir auch von anderen Gästen gehört..sehr schade, da das Essensangebot wirklich gut war. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und hat sich stets bemüht! Das Zimmer war immer sehr sauber! Es hat viele Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kinder, jedoch ist die Verbindung vom Altbau zum Neubau nicht wirklich gelungen.. Im Grossen und Ganzen ein schönes Hotel, welches aber definitiv noch Verbesserungspotential hat.
