Excellent location and nearby public parking if not full.
Nice view in the rooms with a view.
Building with character.
Rather limited breakfast choice, fruit juice made of powders, ants in the bathroom and not enough tablets there, and not enough storage facilities and cupboards in the bedroom.
Reception is very helpful.

Beside being overpriced like all the facitlities with some little availability during high season and last minute bookings, I must say staff was nice and truly helpful, mostly a nice lady at reception.
Rooms are so so, more like a 2/3 stars hotel, pool is nice and a big plus but in puglia in summer…missing a little gym it is a pity, breakfast just basic (and in italy u cannot expect basic about food) again like maybe a 3 stars. To be nice.

The hotel itself is well located, but is only conveniently accessed on foot. The rooms have been refurbished in the simple Italian style, and are clean and comfortable, with a good bed and shower. The breakfast offering is ample. However, despite the pictures showing attractive public areas, there's no usable lounge or terrace seating. Staff / service a bit variable, and the concept of ordering food or drinks to the room not available.

A hotel full of character & charm. Very friendly, helpful & polite staff. Beautiful view of the fishing harbour from our lovely room. The outside restaurant, also with the harbour view, was perfect for breakfasts & dinners but we also really liked the character of the ‘cellar’ room for breakfasts, especially on very hot mornings, when the air conditioning was most welcome! We booked for bed & breakfast but were able to have meals at a discount in the evenings too - the food was delicious! It looks as though there are plans ahead for developing the middle courtyard into an outside seating area, which would add to the whole experience of staying in this beautiful, relaxing hotel

On the seaside of Gallipoli, this hotel was just perfect for us! Friendly, FRIENDLY staff. Our room for 2 nights was just the thing we needed while we walked the back streets of town. Room was very comfortable; lobby was small but inviting.

Again 6 days with 23 friends in this super hotel . It’s my favourite hotel and it’s the second time we stay here. This time only 6 days . We was all thrilled . It a hotel with atmosphere with charm with the most lovely staff. From the cleaning staff to the reception to the restaurant. We could never again had the best ending in Gallipoli for our tour in Italy . The food is amazing and the breakfast have everything you need for a good start for your day. It’s beautiful view from some of the rooms over the marina and sea. The rooms come in all configuration but they are all clean , fresh and nice good beds . Everyone went out of their way to give us the best experience as they also did last time . They arranged for us a great wine tasting evening , a 5 course dinner with the best fresh sea food ever ( we are from Norway ) Mr. Luciano , his staff his family , Nonna . Amazing everyone ! Travelled in Italy so many times but for the last 2 times we always end up here . It’s Gallipoli , the hotel the staff everything . Love it

Everything was good location was excellent, be sure to come before 3 pm to find parking space , is a public parking in the port , no to far from the hotel , the beach is very close The only complaint that AC wasn’t strong enough , bed was a little hard

Dropped off by taxi at bottom of a steep slope and told by taxi driver in sign langauge hotel at top. However on arrival at hotel, was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance of the building and decor. Receptionist Pia greeted us like were we family and during stay couldnt do enough for us. She was always helpful, polite, happy and obliging at all times. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy and decor to a high standard. Rooms could do with more storage ie drawers for clothes and possibly have tea and coffee for guests as it is classed as a 4 star hotel. Breakfast basic continental no variety throughout the seven day stay What ever short comings the hotel has, Pia more than makes up for it. Wonderful lady. Wonderful building as ex converted monastery and has maintained a lot of original features. Thank for a lovely holiday

We had a lovely time at Al Pescatore at the end of April. On arrival the staff, Pia & Tisziano were so welcoming & helpful in regard to where to leave the hire car (as only locals can drive in the old city of Gallipoli). The hotel is restored old church & is beautiful. Breakfast was nice each morning plus a bonus of high quality coffee. All the staff here were lovely, especially Pia we loved her & she is so kind/caring plus she’s good fun.! The room itself was an economy room & needs renovating as it’s a bit dated if I’m honest although it’s perfectly functional with a comfortable bed. It’s about a minute walk into the old city so the location is great, there are lots of places to eat & drink nearby. If we’re ever in Gallipoli again we would stay at this hotel again.
