The Postcard Galle

Postcard’s chain of boutique hotels have been our favourite go-to hotels for a while now, especially with our daughter (now almost 4). The hotel in Galle was the perfect coalescence of luxury and comfort. It reminds one of the old Portuguese bungalows (being from Goa ourselves, we found nostalgia in those rooms) , yet there’s absolute luxury in the services provided. From the open verandahs, to the super spacious premium rooms and the quaintness of the property, we loved our stay. We also loved the picturesque sunsets from the patio and the warmth expressed by each and every one of the staff. Special thanks to Bharat- the property manager, Swati- the F&B manager; along with- Randika, Arshad, Vikum, Nirmal, Theekshana, Sandaruwan, Kaveesh and Prasan! We send our best regards and the warmest wishes. Thank you for being so wonderful to our daughter and helping us make wonderful memories for our 10th anniversary! The hotel staff also helped us with arranging all transport, trips to Mirissa, Yala National Park and the turtle hatchery, making our entire trip seamless!

Dear all travelers, the Postcard hotel in Galle is something you need to visit, not just for very nice colonial design but there is more important things, and these are peole there, manager Mr. Sing and his staff are more than friendly, they are really like your family, becuase they are family. Small nice hotel with 10 rooms ( recomend to choose one with jacuzzi ) Also you can have your breakfast whenever you want doesnt matter is if 2pm or 6 am morning. They also prepare for us snack for our trips for free, and every afternoon you can enjoy nice coctails near to swiming pool. Also the y cook very nice meals , but not only what is on menu but everything what you wish . THis place is place where you can not find any problem instead for which coctail you will choose. We also have a chance to meet very nice people from India here which make friendship with us and recomended us another The Postcard hotels, and after that experience we are sure we will visit all of them. One more thing, also New Years Eve there was full of music and nice food, and they surpriced us with bottle of Prosseco on Midnight. This place is a Sri Lankan gem! Thank you very much to Bharatvir and his entire team for making us feel very welcome and special. Everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Everything was outstanding...the peace and quiet, beautiful room (thank you for the upgrade!), location, cocktails (so good!), pool, service, and food. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the bed linens were top notch. The decor throughout the hotel is very thoughtful with many beautiful antiques and pieces of artwork. The overall vibe is perfect! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

A gem of a hotel. Some of the loviest staff we've ever encountered. Only 10 rooms so a very personalized service, especially Bharat, the manager. The food was excellent, great to have all day for breakfast. Lunch & dinner also delicious. Lovely pool, wonderful views of the lagoon and coast. Beautifully maintained grounds. Only 4 sunbeds but this was not a problem. Hotel is a little way out of Galle but easy to find a tuktuk. Room 2 was large, very high ceilings, bed had mosquito nets. Could have benefited from a fridge and there's no window you can see out of which I didn't like very much. Large bathroom, good shower, towels and bathrobes. I would certainly highly recommend The Postcard.

This lovely hotel is situated on the coast near Galle but not directly on a beach. My room was beautifully appointed and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The architecture suggests the building dates from colonial times, but actually it was built fifteen years ago.

The postcard, is a quiet boutique hotel, with the most friendly staff, they will make everything beautiful for you. This old world hotel is quite new & has all the mod cons including a swing pool. The food is top class! Chefs take their time to create every dish personally for you. Nothing was too much trouble & we loved it. Bharatvir the hotel manager is a top man, making the sure the hotel & his guests are all completely happy. The room staff are so kind, they even left Linda little gifts on her bed when we retired for the night. It was a special occasion for us, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary & with that, one night we landed back to the room & there was a chocolate cake waiting for us, I ordered some Ceylon tea to the room & we had ourselves a big slice 😁 Summing up, fab hotel & fab people running it.
