Hotels in Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort, Baishan

Overall, it was pretty good. There was a good range of activities, and we saw quite a few small animals in the mountain area. The two-bedroom unit was ideal for our family. Breakfast was also good. My only minor quibbles would be that some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It would have been even better if the TV was a smart TV (like Xiaomi) with access to TV series, and a night light was missing. Otherwise, no major complaints. Although the complimentary perks largely covered what was offered, my 65-year-old parents, despite being quite active, found many activities unsuitable and might have gotten a little bored.

Hotel is located directly in the Wanda international ski resort, near the smaller ski service center. There is also a shuttle bus every half an hour to the big skiing center, which is convenient for everyone who would like to start their skiing experience there. However, we were a bit disappointed that the hotel staff members didn’t speak English, or just very little and therefore every issue or request was handled using the translation machine (and the translation wasn’t very accurate). Even though the staff was trying to be helpful, translating every single sentence was frustrating and tiring to say the least and both the staff and even us have gotten annoyed with the rather lengthy process. Accommodation charges included also 3 skiing tickets (equipment included). Although it might be a big plus for a family with 1 child, for us it wasn’t that much of an advantage. We wanted to buy the same rights and benefits for our second child, but it wasn’t possible, so every day we needed to start with buying a skiing ticket for one child and renting an equipment, as it wasn’t possible to buy the ticket and renting the equipment for the whole week. The hotel breakfast was very tasty with variety of choices. Mostly Chinese options with fewer western style food, but this wasn’t problem for us, as we like Chinese options more. We were also satisfied with cleanliness and hotel amenities, a little convenience store directly in the lobby was also nice to have.

Facilities: A trip to Changbai Mountain is primarily for Tianchi Lake, and whether you get to see it often comes down to luck. The great thing about Jin Hua is its excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, arcade games, and a mahjong room. This means even on a rainy day, you won't be bored or stuck with nothing to do. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was up to par. Environment: The hotel is located right next to the ski resort, which in summer transforms into lush green meadows. It's essentially the closest hotel to all the recreational facilities within the park. Service: Excellent. Our dedicated service staff, Jason Sui, proactively contacted us via phone and WeChat even before our arrival. She promptly responded to all our inquiries regarding park services and updates on Tianchi Lake's opening status. Thanks to her helpful updates and good wishes, we managed to witness the stunning Tianchi Lake, even after it had been closed for three consecutive days.

The room was good and the bed was massive, but the air conditioning wasn't very powerful. Fortunately, Changbai Mountain gets cool at night, so opening the balcony door allowed for a comfortable sleep. The illuminated lawn (which serves as a ski slope in winter) was a great spot for an evening jog; it was truly refreshing. Pros: A wide range of activities, well-rounded facilities, and an excellent hotel location (though its proximity to the commercial street meant it could be a bit noisy). The breakfast spread was generous. Cons: The air conditioning wasn't cooling adequately, the swimming pool only opened at 1 PM, and the Hanla Mountain Hot Springs were extremely overcrowded.

The hotel is incredibly convenient, designed like a large park with electric buggies readily available for easy transportation throughout. Our package deal offered fantastic value for a two-night stay and included numerous complimentary activities. Although the breakfast and dinner vouchers were originally only for two adults and one child, our dedicated staff member (No. 8) generously provided us with vouchers for two adults and two children. The housekeeping service was also impeccable! A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The room was quite spacious, and the cleanliness was excellent. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, providing anything we needed promptly. Our butler also responded to messages instantly. The outdoor dining area at Momopark in the evening was very enjoyable. However, the main restaurant was a letdown. The variety was limited, and the breakfast options were identical every morning. Meat choices were scarce, with barely any ham (just one type of bacon), and no yogurt was offered. Freshly cooked scrambled eggs were unavailable, and the coffee machine couldn't even make lattes. Forks weren't provided, with staff explaining it was a ”Chinese buffet.” The few forks in the children's section were always empty. It felt as though the attentive service was completely undermined by the poor dining experience. The mini-train closed too early, and the amenities offered one less slide compared to JinHua.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Park Hyatt Ski Resort in Changbaishan, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure my check-in process was smooth and pleasant. Their friendliness and attentiveness made me feel right at home. Throughout my stay, the staff remained incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any request, whether it was recommendations for local dining or arranging transportation. The accommodations were nothing short of luxurious. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly reflects the high standards of the Park Hyatt brand. The resort’s facilities were also impressive, with a fantastic outside hot spring in the snow that provided a perfect retreat after a long day on the slopes. The dining options were delightful, featuring a range of delicious cuisine that catered to all tastes. Each meal was a culinary delight, and the service was impeccable. Another highlight was the ski access; the location is ideal for both beginners and experienced skiers. The staff at the ski resort provided excellent guidance and support, making it easy to enjoy the slopes. Overall, my stay at the Park Hyatt Ski Resort in Changbaishan was nothing short of magical. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway in the mountains. I can’t wait to return!

I came to Changbaishan Wanda for summer vacation. Staying at Changbaishan Hyatt gave me many surprises in terms of service details. I especially want to share this real touch: ✨Room service that makes you feel at home The day before check-in, Mr. Jin at the front desk took the initiative to contact and confirm the needs. He told me the weather forecast for the day of check-in and recommended a tour guide based on the weather. He also helped me upgrade the mountain view room by surprise, so that I can see the misty mountains while sitting on the balcony. 🤝Warm concierge service Concierge Han Hui King would stop and smile and say hello every time he met me, and took the initiative to help me take the luggage to the room. He also gave me some travel suggestions during the chat. ☕️Personalized catering care Restaurant Liu Changsheng Tom remembered that I loved hot Latte for breakfast and prepared hot coffee for me every day. He also provided me with warm breakfast customization service. Other points of Hyatt - The heated swimming pool faces the valley. When you are tired of swimming, you can lie on the lounge chair by the pool and watch the clouds roll by. - The night bed service is also very thoughtful. There are no exaggerated gimmicks, only silent care. This kind of service that maintains professionalism and human touch is what a high-end resort hotel should be like. I look forward to meeting Hyatt on my next vacation.

Facilities: While the facilities are a bit dated, you can still tell they were originally fitted out to a high standard, maintaining a certain level of quality. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. Location: The location is excellent, very close to all the attractions and dining/shopping spots within the resort, so there's no need to rent a car. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was very good. Toiletries were replenished promptly, and the unlimited supply of bottled Changbaishan spring water was genuinely delicious. Overall Experience & Value: This hotel is one of the more affordable options within the Wanda Resort. I was a bit hesitant when booking, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The biggest highlight is the hotel's private hot spring. It's incredibly convenient to enjoy, and I learned that all other hotels in the resort used to send their guests here for hot spring access. Seeing other guests lugging their bags to the hot springs while I could simply stroll downstairs in my bathrobe gave me a real sense of privilege.

【Service】 1-Supporting all requests, various emergencies during the trip, as long as I ask for help (replenishment of items, asking for directions and procedures, finding lost items...), they always respond and help me as soon as possible! Every time, the attitude is very good. Vegetables, meat, porridge, noodles, rice, bread, coffee, fruit... I eat one meal in the morning, which can last the whole day. 2- There are a lot of people during breakfast. It is better to go early than late. Be prepared for long queues. It is common in the tourist season and is completely acceptable. [Dining] There are many restaurants in the scenic area. You don't have to worry about eating and drinking. Just let go of your stomach and feel at ease. I recommend the restaurant I have eaten: Log Cabin Korean Cuisine. Taste: Rich and flavorful! It is very enjoyable to eat flavorful meals after skiing! If you have a light taste, don't complain about the saltiness after eating. Shandong people eat it, which is very suitable! The main thing is that they are all very fragrant. I will come to eat again tomorrow and go down the mountain early to eat pig's trotters and spicy chicken feet! Environment: The environment is clean and tidy. I can see that the store owner is carefully maintained. It looks reassuring! Service: The boss sister is not the kind of person who smiles, but speaks slowly and doesn't make a fuss. She will stop you from ordering more dishes. She is a kind and good store owner. Value for money: In the scenic area, the price is quite suitable, and the portion is moderate and large. It is really too much for 2 people to eat. Just go into this store and have a look, but the food is delicious and affordable, which can keep people. When you go out to eat, it's up to you to decide how much you want to spend. The store also has hard dishes that cost about 100 yuan. You can order them according to your wallet. Many basic dishes in the store are really affordable and delicious, and the prices are friendly and don't turn away customers, which is great! [Skiing] 1-The ski resort is not big. It is very friendly to beginners, and there are good routes for intermediate players to practice. Advanced players may find the black trails less exciting, but fortunately, the park props are well designed, and the forest trails are great after snow. I skied for two days and still felt unsatisfied. It's small but beautiful. 2-If conditions permit, go to the Costin ski equipment hall to borrow a board. The style is more advanced, the quality is better, and it's newer. The only drawback is that you need to return to Costin to return the board. I didn't study to go to Costin to try my luck and see the board until the third day, but I didn't use a good quality board until the third day. Hate it, I was angry about weight gain for the past two days. 3-Why do you say this? I borrowed 5 women's snowboards in the ski equipment hall of the ski town. The serrations on the bindings of 4 boards were rounded and could not be hooked. There were many dangerous situations where the bindings opened by themselves after skiing (screaming! It's fatal!) I was very angry! Friends, life is the most important! We must stick to product quality and protect life safety.
