Padraicins B&B

Just returned from one of the best stays we have encountered in Ireland. Padraicins is located in Furbo, County Connemara, east of Galway city. The location is fantastic, with a lovely beach over looking Galway Bay and the mountains of County Clare. We stayed for four nights in room 8, a family room with two double beds, the views over the bay and beach from the windows was great. Room was very clean, very spacious, beds were very comfortable, tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits were provided. Room was serviced every day. The public bar, Lounge and restaurant were spotlessly clean, staff were very efficient, great service and friendly. The Breakfast was second to none, delicious fully cooked Irish breakfast and plenty of other options. On the subject of food we ate for three of our four nights in the restaurant, the menu was very extensive, food was home cooked, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, once again as said before staff very efficient, great service and friendly. The location is ideal for touring Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, etc and of course Galway, which is about 20 minutes drive away. If you wish you can catch the 424 bus to Galway, 4 euro single or 7 return, Taxi fare is about 25 to 30 euros each way to Galway. Don't forget to ask any member of staff, who are more than helpful with information, about local area and anything else you might need to know. All in all this is a gem of a place to stay on all aspects, highly recommended and not to be missed, we will certainly be staying and dining here again.

Just popped into Padraicin's in Furbo , for dinner.. absolutely amazing food. Generous portions.. reasonably priced. Great value . Excellent service.. Receptionist very efficient..Waitress very helpful...we will definitely be back.. A gem outside the City..

Although located in a beautiful spot, our experience at this B&B was simply awful. The room was very stuffy when we arrived and the owners had permanently screwed all the windows shut so there was no way to get any fresh air into the room. (As all rooms were on the second floor, I cannot imagine why the windows were screwed shut.) A rather pathetic electrical fan was provided but all it did was blow the hot stale air around. I soaked my hair in hopes of cooling off enough to sleep, but even that did little to help and I didn’t sleep at all that night. Equally disappointing was the breakfast that was included. Sugary cereals and withered fruit was on offer. In terms of cooked items, the food was tasteless. The eggs were water-logged, the tomatoes and mushrooms were very bland, and the toast was hard as a rock. We stayed in 12 different B&B’s during our trip. This was by far the absolute worst. Avoid this establishment.

Great stay - Wonderful experience, every member of staff is so welcoming, stayrd in a great room (room6) overlooking the bay, comfy bed and pillows, would come back in a heart beat. The breakfast was outstanding, freshly cooked, good portions all round

Ottimo B&B posizionato al piano superiore del ristorante; stanze ampie, pulite, ottima visuale e dotate di molti comfort (asciugacapelli, bollitore, ecc). Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Ampio parcheggio a disposizione degli ospiti. La buona colazione viene servita nel ristorante dalle 8.30 alle 10.30 nella sala del ristorante. Ottimo anche il loro ristorante

Tout simplement PARFAIT ! Il est rare de trouver des perles, mais le Padracin’s en est une. Localisation splendide à deux pas (littéralement) de la plage, accueil royal, propreté irréprochable, décoration de très bon goût, literie impeccable, petit-déjeuner fait maison et de très bon qualité, dîner délicieux. Un sans faute dont certains grands hôtels devraient s’inspirer. Le Padraicin’s vous donne à lui seul envie de revenir en Irlande !
