Welcomed by Ms Naoko, who runs both the guest house and the wine bar on the ground floor. She spoke excellent English. Even before arrival, she had already contacted me to check our arrival time and the model of our rental car, to ensure that the parking was suitable. She also mentioned that there was going to be fireworks at the waterfront on our arrival day, so to arrive in time if we wanted to catch it. The waterfront and bridge to Enoshima Island are about a 5-7 minute walk away, along the riverside. The rooms are housed in 2 adjacent buildings, and it was easy to spot as the architectural design made it stand out from the adjacent residential houses. The wine bar on the ground floor doubled up as a reception area, and all the floors are accessible by lift. The decor in the room was outstanding, with many unique furniture pieces scattered throughout. An old medicine cabinet used in dispensaries served as a night stand next to the bed, the dining table had a single carved branch for a leg, which reached to the ceiling, and decorative wall frames were backlit. A small functional kitchen and compact bathroom filled up the rest of the space, with a washing machine in the bath area and drying was done in the shower cabinet on a drying rack. The train tracks run immediately outside, but because only the Enoden electric train runs on it, there wasn't any appreciable noise at all from the rooms. As this was a residential area, the roads leading to the guest house are relatively narrow. If driving, it would be easiest to approach from the north-west side, following and just south of the train tracks, and go over the railway crossing immediately in front of the guest house. A convenience store was a 3 minute walk away. Overall a great place to stay if visiting Enoshima island and surroundings, with great hospitality!
