Ulasan Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel

A super satisfied stay. Although the instructions and pictures online is very little, the hotel actually provided a full service. Like shuttle bus can be reserved by call, u can ask the information centre to help make a call. The breakfast and the dinner were great! The room was very spacious and clean, which looks better than the photos online! The onsen are not that packed and we can enjoy a good time even in the public space.

I booked Mt Fuji view room but due to bad weather, there is no view, so half of the value I paid for is gone. The dinner is disappointing but the breakfast is good. Onsen is the highlight. The outside onsen on 1/F is big and beautiful. Checkin is at 3pm and out at 10am. Very straight rule. We arrived a bit early and were asked to come back at 3pm.

This is a beautiful hotel. Great Japanese style rooms, I highly recommend the Mt. Fuji facing rooms as you can get some great photos. The staff were very kind and I genuinely recommend staying here

We have reserved mt. fuji view room, and they offered us a room on the top floor at the main building. The view is great and we are lucky can see mt fuji clearly. The shuttle bus service is great. The dinner is shabu shabu all you can eat, and the breakfast is nice too. I especially like their welcome drink and snacks offered when we checked in. Overall we all enjoyed to stay at this hotel very much.

Was meant to be a “luxury” stay for us while we were at Mt Fuji area for 2 nights. The moment we stepped into our room on the 4th floor (modern room), the smell of body odour was so strong and terrible. We immediately asked for a change of rooms and they told us there were no similar rooms of the same price as they were fully booked. If we wanted to move, it would be a downgrade. The staff gave us some air freshener sprays and tried their best to shift an air purifier into the room, clean the room, etc but the horrible smell prevailed. They did not offer any options of moving us to another room and partially refunding us despite this being an issue caused by the hotel. We opened the windows to circulate the air and even after a day of airing, the smell still stayed on. We were truly disappointed that this was the experience. The room was great, toilet well designed and whole room was spacious, except for the horrible body odour that spoiled everything. Stay would’ve been perfect cos we got to see Mt Fuji from our room! Choose other floors if you want to stay here, lest you get this room.

Well, what can I say? This was my first experience staying in a Japanese-style hotel and my own ryokan. The room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. I didn't like the location. No one said anything about a shuttle that could meet me with a heavy suitcase. But the shuttle didn't meet me. Dinner and breakfast were included in the price of the stay. Dinner was very interesting and filling. Breakfast was filling, but I didn't like it much. Lots of specific dishes.

An unforgettable stay with breathtaking Mt. Fuji views! The onsen was a highlight—soaking in the warm water while admiring the mountain was pure bliss. The room was spacious, clean, and well-designed, blending comfort with traditional aesthetics. Exceptional service and delicious meals. Highly recommend!

The lobby and the room we stayed in was refurbished with modern touch. However the public bath spaces was relatively small and old. We used the garden public bath and it was very cold because there’s a door going outside right across the door the comes into the interior bath area. When people coming in or going out to the external hot springs, both doors opened and the wind blows into the interior hot spring area where the shower area is. The most unacceptable point is that the hot water system broke down (lack of water in hot water tank) that night hence the shower water was only warm and not hot enough to beat the coldness from the entrance. Hence we did not enjoy the public hot spring and went back to our room with the interior private bath. But the water was also not hot due to hot water tank was lack of water. Hence the in room bath is not hot spring. I was finally able to enjoy the in room bath in the morning. But they really need to make improvement of this matter since they are an onsen ryokan. The food was good but the hot water incident really gave a minus impact of the stay.

Staff are generally nice and helpful. Most of them can be communicated with English which makes our stay easier. There are two hot spring site inside the hotel with one on the ground floor (1/F) and one on the top floor (5/F). One thing to note is there is no towel provided inside the hot spring changing room. You have to bring the towel inside your room to the hot spring site - and bring it back to your room if you plan to enjoy the hot spring 2nd time. This arrangement is not familiar for me as when I visited other hotel, they usually have more than enough towel for replacement at the changing room. There is a room for kids to play and stay and it is great from family with kids. My kids also enjoy the welcome food very much (lots of donuts and cookies!) The dinner for my package was Kaiseki-style. Since me and my family stayed for two nights, it is good that they have designed different meals for two nights! The beef is great I have to say. The staff will try their best to briefly introduce what the dishes were. We have the dinner in the restaurant so it may be a bit crowd and noisy to some people. From other tables I can see there is option for hotpot or even crabs! Re-checked with hotel's official web-site there are more choice on the dinner menu. Regarding the dinner menu choice, I did not find it when I order through Trip.com (maybe my bad), so it will be better if Trip.com can optimize the website outlook to make it more noticeable (I think this opinion applied to all other similar type Japanese hotel which provide high quality dinner). When you arrive Kawaguchiko train/bus station, you can go to the Tourist center there (just turn right when you leave the station, it is at another building) and ask the staff there help to call the hotel for the pick-up. Similary, when you check-out, you can talk with the front-desk staff and arrange the shuttle-bus back to the station.

Everything was excellent, the room was comfortable and the onsen was great. We were lucky to get Fuji view from our room everyday during our stay!

We booked the room on the fifth floor with Mount Fuji view, private bath and two meals. The room is clean and large. The mountain view in the morning is impressive. You can see the mountain while in the bath too. Food is okay. The only imperfection is that it will take quite a walk if you wish to take a photo of the inverted Fuji at dawn.

Great services and environment. Amazing mt view from room, plus free flow of coffee at lobby. The two onsen areas are great too - wish the price could go a bit lower but definitely will consider re-visiting.
