Great first time glamping experience for the family. The campsite is nicely perched on top of the slope overlooking the village, lake and a superb view of Mount Fuji. Location - relatively accessible about 15 minutes drive from Kawaguchiko station (the accommodation offers free pickup). The route from the main road can be a little challenging, which is fine with no oncoming traffic (that’s where the challenge is). The road leading in gets narrower and steeper and you would need to negotiate several sharp turns. While the area offers limited parking, I was always able to park by the side. Advice to go for a smaller car. “Room” - we opted for a deluxe tent for five but the accommodation was relatively tight; there were four beds with a sofa bed, and all the basic facilities like shower, toilet, heater etc. Space is a premium but that’s camping life. The BBQ dinner was particularly good - we had meat on the first night and seafood for the second. Meat is nicely marinated though scallops and oysters were very salty. There was also the bonfire which added to the experience. Overall great and please don’t miss the dinner. Amenities - very basic, the sauna was closed and there is little to do at the campsite given winter. Pricing - expensive comparatively but family loved it, so probably money well spent.
