La Palma Princess

Just spent a week at this beautiful hotel with panoramic views of the ocean, we arrived from Gatwick at 8pm local time and the transfer took around 45 mins. The view of the hotel as we came down the mountain was amazing as it was at night and it was all lit up, check in was quick and easy as we had done the pre check in on line the day before, The restaurant was still open when we arrived so we was told to go get some food whilst our cases where taken to our room, we was allocated a room on block 6b Our room was clean and spacious and our room was cleaned every time when put the clean me sign on the door, The hotel its self is set in beautiful very large grounds everything was well kept and clean, i was a little worried when i read the reviews regarding the food, but i can honestly say the food at breakfast lunch and tea was amazing with lots of choices.The only down side was you couldn't chose where to sit in the main restaurant,but wait times where minimal and the staff at front of house was always friendly, especially Giovanni who always greeted us by name and was always smiling and happy. Drinks on the all inclusive package was good although some of the reviews say not, yes the cocktails are pre mixed but bar staff where always happy to mix local spirits to make your own which is what i did. Entertainment at the hotel was basic but something every night and although not to our taste all the time we still enjoyed the evening entertainment.The entertainment team work hard all day every day . In all we had am amazing week at this beautiful hotel and even tho the weather wasn't great for one of the days it didn't stop us having a lovely relaxing time. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Spent a week at la palma princess and absolutely loved it, on first arrival late by tui the restaurant was kept open for us and the food was a little tired but we were an hour and a half late, went straight to the bar after and had drinks so checked in late, arrived in our room which looked tired but comfortable, the next day in the light could see the pool area which was stunning, went to breakfast in the main restaurant which was great full English/continetal/spanish which ever you wanted sourdough toast was lovely as were the croissants, and the pancakes and eggs fried or omelette were cooked in front of you and the servers pulled away the trays if they had been there too long, went to the pools and had the pick of whatever pool you fancied no running for sun beds here, had alcoholic slushies at the pool bar and lager which was pour your own, went back to main restaurant for lunch which was good again lots of choice but stuck with the fish and salad followed by cake, back to the pool and then food in the main restaurant the food market for dinner which was nice food the meat was done well all the other dishes were tasty and the salad was fresh, the cakes for afters were to die for, then down to the bar for drinks until 12, we repeated that for a few days then found the pool restaurant for breakfast and snacks and mixed that in to which was a stunning place to eat the food was good and the view was awesome, my partner had her birthday 3 days in to our stay and came back to our room to find a bottle of brut on ice which sums up the staff from the manager javier down to pool attendants really attentive nothing is to much trouble and so welcoming, the bar staff are quick and helpful even while trying to clear a large area and will always stop for a chat about football or music never picky about who they serve and so friendly, the animation team were great would talk to everyone around the pool and try and get everyone involved even if you think the book is a lot thicker than they do, the cleaners are great although you don’t see them every day you know they have been the room which is spotless the towels changed and beds rearranged and changed with pillows back in there allotted spot and even my pyjama bottoms folded and placed neatly on the bed which was a great touch, the lady who cleans the pool toilets can be seen all day passing between the toilets to clean and was friendly every day even just for a passing ola, the cooks in the restaurant and staff for seating you were friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble even if you are a pain and want to be seated somewhere else it’s not a problem, the staff on reception are helpful and any thing we asked they sorted out no problem, even the maintenance staff who probably had no time to talk were friendly and courteous, what a lovely island and a lovely hotel and the people here are awesome, I had read some reviews before about the food and stuff and I don’t know where these people stay and eat

We are just coming to the end of our 2 weeks holiday at La palma princess and this is my thoughts on our 2 weeks. Check in was super easy and reception staff were friendly and got everything organised, all requests that I had put in before hand had been carried out which were joining rooms and ground floor. Rooms are large with plenty of storage and comfortable beds, the aircon isn’t the most powerful but it’s adequate, nice big shower and a bath, rooms are a little dated but kept nice and clean. Unfortunately there is only one main restaurant now which wasn’t as advertised when we booked, the breakfasts are always good with lots of choice but it does get busy so we used the snack bar which h does a later breakfast from 9 which is just as good, snacks are your usual burgers, hot dogs, chips ect, dinner I did struggle on a few occasions to find something I liked but the puddings were always good. We stayed by the main pool area where there were plenty of sun beds and the pools are very nice however it can get extremely slippery and the pools are not supervised at all so there were a lot of older children jumping off the bridge into the pool saturating it which did actually lead to several people falling. We didn’t really bother with the evening entertainment and just enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun set. We enjoyed our holiday and it was lovely and relaxing but it’s not necessarily somewhere we would come back too

This is our 4th visit to this Hotel and this time we are only staying for 3 nights, why we'll it used to be great. 11 pools now 8 in the family section and 3 in the Adult only section which come with a premium price. We are in the adult section and the Origen restaurant just makes it. Wish it was open for lunch, not the snack bar we now have with lots of processed deep fired food. After you evening meal there is no bar in the adult section you have to go to the main hotel bar, can be very busy with queuing. Not what you expect when paying more. At least there are enough sunbeds so no towel placing early in the morning. We love La Palma which is why we are only staying 3 nights on this trip rest we have rented a villa. Great location just needs to be more like 2018 when we first came here.

We recently returned from our holiday and wow it was amazing in every way, couldn’t fault anything. The resort is beautiful and clean, the hotel room huge, I was with my two daughters so 3 of us one room. The food brilliant with so much choice, it was delicious. The staff so friendly and fun! We joined in with all of the daily activities which we loved. My 9 year old went in the kids club which was great! Pool party, cupcake making and lots of games etc. I used the gym which is with all up to date equipment and supplies towels. Big choice of pools and tons of sun beds and pool towels in rooms. I had a massage which was wonderful, the spa is just amazing! In the eves there was a variety of entertainment we enjoyed every evening. Also playing bingo, and dancing to the songs they play and mini disco is great. Overall an amazing resort and would recommend to anyone. I loved the mojito and Mexican party so much to do! The sunsets are just spectacular from this hotel

IGNORE ANY BAD REVIEWS! We have recently got back from this amazing resort, it was our first holiday together and we loved every minute of it We did start to worry when we saw some of the bad reviews, but please don’t listen to these. We can’t say a bad word about this place or the staff that work there. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted straight away and had our room key within minutes (do check in online the day before, it speeds up the process). Room was so clean, tidy and spacious and this was kept on top of all week. Super comfy big bed also So much choice when it comes to food, which includes breakfast, lunch and different themed nights for dinner. Even snacks at the pool snack bar were great. We would definitely recommend having breakfast here one morning just for the views. Spoilt for choice when it comes to swimming pools and no need to fight for sun beds at the crack of dawn as there are plenty to go around all day long. Pool and the surrounding areas were kept well tidy. Stunning views around the area, but you have to take in the sunset each night……it was amazing! Overall the whole holiday was one that we will never forget and would recommend to anyone. If you looking for something that’s more of a relaxed holiday then this is definitely the place for you..
