The Ivy Apartments Franschhoek

Great service from the manager- clean and well kept premises. Great location for Bastille festival.

Great hotel, very good location close to the shops/restaurants and wine farms. Room 6 was great very spacious and very comfy beds. One issue was the blind in the upstairs room didn’t work meaning we couldn’t close them. Apart from that lovely stay! Would highly recommend!

The Ivy Apartments are perfectly located in the centre of town giving easy access to the restaurants and shops. You can also walk to the Saturday market and wine tram from them. Our apartment was huge and very clean and there is secure parking underneath. Access is through a gate and there were staff in hand to help at all times.

We stayed at the Ivy Apartments for 3 nights earlier this month. Positives: Superb location. All Franschhoek eateries and other places to visit are within walking distance. Wine tram terminal a few mins walk away as well as supermarkets for essentials. Friendly staff Nice reception area with snacks and some alcoholic drinks, coffee machine and comfortable sofas Comfortable beds and clean bedrooms and bathrooms Comfortable apartment with unique mezzanine set-up Negatives: No suitcase stands - doesn't help if you have back issues and there is clearly space for them. No shelves in bathrooms (well a mini one in downstairs bathroom) We had an issue with the "boiler" or similar which was leaking into metal tray overnight, in a cupboard downstairs. The drops were loud and like water torture! Had to find a plastic bowl to allow the drops to fall into, to lessen the noise. Did get looked at the next day, apparently its the way the system works. Missing/limited crockery in the kitchen. Frustratingly, no cereal bowls which is poor given this is a self-catering accommodation! We would stay again, mainly due to the location but some of the negatives above need to be addressed. If they were, probably 5 star place!

We traveled with friends on their first trip to South Africa.The Ivy apartments are in a great location to all the streets of Franschhoek. Wellington was extremely helpful in getting us oriented and settled. The downstairs room was very small and hot as there is no air conditioning in that room and you must close the door to get by the bed. The pillows were quite hard and sheets could be of better quality. We were only there for 3 nights so we could accept it.

Amazing location with top of the line amenities and furnishings … very upscale place with the friendliest most accommodating staff in the very best location in Franschoek… fully equipped kitchen even with a washer dryer, and lovely private balconies overlooking the lovely little town. A percent apartment stay with everything you could want in the very best of taste … would highly recommend
