I was worried when I read the reviews at first, but other places are either far away or super expensive. When I arrived, I found that it was okay, it was an old-fashioned European hotel, the room was unexpectedly large, and the sanitation was also good. The sound insulation is poor. There is actually a swimming pool, and the mushrooms for breakfast are very delicious. The child said he was very satisfied.

In fact, Glencoe Canyon does not have a fixed attraction. After coming from Lomond Lake and entering the mountains, every viewpoint is an attraction. SSIMONPrices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's ”aged”. Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. GGuest UserBooked for the suite as we were a group of 4. The room provided us all the things we needed, microwave, fridge, plates, utensils. The only drawback is that we got the room on 4th floor and there was no elevator!

Location is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was absolutely fantastic, and the full Scottish breakfast was generous and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn't get a bath because the bathtub obturating plug didn't work properly. However, the overall experience was good. Thank you!

GGuest UserReally great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.
