Iberostar Waves Pinos Park

It is a great hotel that I will recommend to all friends with young children. We stayed there with our toddler and it seems it was mostly families with young, pre-school children. The staff were friendly and there were daily multiple activities for children (4 to 7 on their own and younger with parents) and multiple exercise classes and activities for adults. The evening entertainment was ok, not my cup of tea, but kids enjoyed it. The pools were perfect for younger kids (3 in the main area (including a shallow splash pool) and two shallow pools with slides at the back of the hotel). There was space for most people on the sun loungers. There were lifeguards. The food and drinks were very good (freshly cooked specials and branded alcohol) and the chefs told us which dishes were dairy free to accommodate a dairy allergy within our family. We had a family room with a lounge section with a single bed and a separate bedroom with a huge bed and walk in bedroom. The room was spacious and clean but not very cosy. The style was more like an airport hotel rather than a beach resort. But then you don't spend much time in the room so it was ok. The bathroom was big with a huge walk in shower. The atmosphere was relaxing even though it was busy and full of children. No loud music, late noise, we felt very safe. The views from the hotel are beautiful and the beach is right next to the hotel. The water is clean and there's a lifeguard.

Rooms were not comfy at all. Neither the AC,nor the TV were working. We had water leakage for 3 straight nights. Location is very far from anywhere we went. The restaurant and snack bar were not at all that good. It was also filled with kids. The beach was very pretty though.

I’m writing this on day 2 of my first holiday on my own, 5 months after my lovely husband died. I was in two minds about coming back to Majorca, as it held memories of our first holiday together and other very happy ones thereafter, all trips to celebrate his birthday. Having decided on a whim in the sleepless small hours that I needed time alone to reflect on and process my huge loss, I booked an EasyJet holiday to a different part of the island than we’d visited together, picking a family-friendly hotel with access to both some small beaches and some safe walking routes. I had no idea what to expect, and it felt like taking a leap into the unknown. When I arrived at Iberostar Pinos Park I was greeted by a giant starfish (an enthusiastic animation team!) and the professional and reassuring Marie, who greeted me with an offer of liquid refreshment while I checked in. I chose to pay for an upgrade to an upstairs room with a more private balcony, which had the bonus of having an oblique sea view. I’ve stayed in some decent hotels before, but I was blown away by the room. There are two separate spaces, one containing the (very comfortable) bed, the other housing two closets, a ‘fridge and a microwave, plus an easy chair, and both with floor to ceiling windows onto the balcony (which has 3 chairs, a table and a clothes airer). The bathroom is spotless and a good size, and the shower reliable and powerful. The bedding and towels are of a good quality, and the range of organic toiletries is impressive. The addition of a hairdryer is lovely too. The hotel chain is committed to reducing environmental impact, and as well as providing room based recycling, encourages guests to refill a glass carafe with filtered water from points around the hotel. The facilities are perfect for families, with playgrounds, sports and lovely pools (with a lifeguard) in well-tended grounds. Pool towels can be borrowed for a 20€ deposit. As gorgeous as the hotel is, it’s the location that’s made it; the two beaches are perfect, and the sea is clear and warm enough for a seasoned swimmer, even in April. I stayed half board because I didn’t want to be tied to returning for lunch, but fully inclusive also seems good value. The food is great; varied, fresh, lots of healthy options, plus delicious desserts! The wine is reasonably priced, and the coffee from the pool bar of a good standard. There’s a supermarket just round the corner if you’ve forgotten anything too. The staff are all lovely, and the guests are a great international mix. If you’re looking for an adults-only type of experience this hotel isn’t for you, but if you are a middle-aged female first time solo traveller looking for somewhere you can relax in anonymity in beautiful surroundings I’d recommend starting here. I’m already planning my next visit…

Iberostar Pinos Park on Mallorca is located about an hour away from the airport, PMI. The hotel is overlooking at cove and has easy access to the beach, as well as boasting a big outdoor pool at the centre of the property. On the back of the property is the tennis court, children's playground and the main stage for the evening entertainment. The reception is at the streetlevel and the main restaurant and pool bar are on the pool level. Here you also find the what they call a fitness centre, which in reality is a 2x3 meter cupboard where they put old exercise equipment in. To make it more interesting they also limit the hours to 10-19 and you need to book it! Needless to say, if you come here for exercise, then running on the streets are your best option! The rooms are what you would expect from an all inclusive holiday place, and most rooms have a balcony overlooking the pool area. The food is good and varied, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall good value, but not much around the hotel unless you have a car.

We spent our first family holiday at Iberostar Pinos Park. The choice could not have been better. The hotel is perfect for families with small children. Also in the kitchen they have pure for babies, bibs in the restaurant. It would be just perfect if they had cutlery and plates for babies. We will definitely come back next year with our little one.

Hotel suitable for families with children, especially young children and babies. It has everything you need for the little ones (cot, high chair, bed barrier, toilet adaptor, kettle) and baby food is also available. The staff are also very friendly with the children and even learn their names. Our first family holiday has been much better than expected. Thanks to all the staff for making it possible.
