Everything is good except the stairs to go up to room. And I also didn't like that my bed was right under the stairs of the loft. It was so scary and pressure to sleep there. The location and the view are very good. The staff was very kind in carrying my heavy luggage up for me.

I booked this on my way to Florence. It's a beautiful and convenient place to stay with all facilities. Elio , Matteo and everyone at the reception has been very kind and helpful. Elio moved me from mix dorm to Girl dorm. Very kind. You can have coffee and cook your own meal. You can store your luggage and roam around after checkout. They help you with recommendations. Overall I had a very warming experience. I wish to come back again. Bathroom and bed was very clean & made up everyday. Absolutely worth the money and more than that the staff was really good. Only they don't have lift but hey you can climb. ✨

Located in perfect location near tourist spots so I did not have to worry about last train. Stuff was lovely and bed was comfy.

I just saw a review from 3 days ago saying what I came to say. They do in fact have bed bugs. The late night reception member convinced me it was mosquitos, said he saw small ones not long ago. I was in a room with others, and had my upper arms destroyed. Figured it was mosquitos cause someone opened both windows wide (it's cold season so I should've known better). I had them move me to another room and I was fine for some hours until..I was bit on my legs. Then I had to research how far mosquitos will go to get some blood but under THREE blankets ? Yes, I had 3 blankets on me. Anyway, I saw something move as I was in the bed mustering energy to get up and what do you know? Bed bug. The main manager this morning tried to tell me it was the bus or train. It was not. I got an 80% refund and was booted immediately. The staff are friendly for the most part but he wanted me out quickly and to not make much hubbub about it on my way out so I didn't but this review had to be made. [TripAdvisor has an even lower rating for them so I have copied my review over from Google.]

I arrived after midnight as my flight was late and Matteo was right there to greet me with a huge smile - which was so nice to see a friendly face after a challenging trip! He made me feel so welcome and showed me around, made sure if I needed anything I would come see him. It felt like staying in a family home. There are beautiful stone flights of stairs up to the rooms (which are beautiful) - but I was not allowed to carry my suitcases up! Matteo and another lovely man insisted they carried them up for me which was so kind of them. Italians really are so chivalrous! I booked a private room with a bathroom. I walked in and was immediately amazed by the huge size! Super high ceilings, beautiful big windows in the bedroom and bathroom that open right out so you get a lovely breeze coming through. I liked sitting on the ledge, drinking my morning coffee watching everything happening down on the busy street below. Every night I slept with all the windows wide open and fell asleep listing to all the sounds below floating up from the city, with a lovely breeze - it was so nice! I didn’t need to use the aircon at all because the breeze was so nice! And the stone building stayed nice and cool. The room was spotless, and so clean, with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries to use. They have daily housekeeping, but I asked them not to worry about my room and I wasn’t there much (I was out all day exploring the beautiful city) There is a wardrobe room off the main bedroom with space to hang clothes and a set of drawers, with room to store your cases as well! It was so nice to have a place out of the main bedroom to keep your clothes so they don’t end up scattered around everywhere! The bathroom is clean and cosy, with a lovely view from that window also. The bed is so comfy, nice firm pillows, huge queensize bed, very clean and comfy sheets, there’s a TV, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay! The whole place is just lovely! It really feels like such a traditional place to stay with so much character! It was so nice to come here after staying in tiny rooms in Paris and Zurich. I really like older places that have character and soul and this place has it in abundance! Plus all the staff are just amazing, special mention to Matteo (he worked the night shift) he always greeted me with a big smile and a ‘hello Jodi, tell me how was your day? What did you do?’ He made me feel so welcome and I felt very safe staying there. Matteo also was so happy to recommend good places to see, eat, gelato - he was very knowledgeable and kind. There is a communal kitchen which is handy if you want to cook/heat up something (not that you’d need to as the Mercato Food court is literally a 1 minute walk with heaps of delicious and well priced food options!) there is a drink machine and two gorgeous terraces to sit out in the sun and enjoy your coffee, do some reading or just hang out. I got over 20 beg bug bites from a one night stay in this place. My friend also has bites. I’m very unhappy with the cleanliness of this place. The balcony and everything else was nice, but waking up with bites ruined the whole experience. Please check your beds before you sleep here.

You couldn’t get a better location! An easy walk to everything you want to do in Florence. The staff were very friendly and had good recommendations for food, places to see, etc. The hostel itself had lots of old world charm to it in the decor around common areas. Rooms were simple and clean. Lockers are big enough to hang a couple outfits and provided hangers. Nice view from the upstairs rooms facing the street. Two outdoor patios, 24 hour reception, free espresso. I stayed here twice and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. The only complaint I have is that I wish the bathrooms had hand towels.

I had booked a two night stay here for my trip to Florence which I was forced to cancel as my airline canceled my flight on the last day. I contacted the property to cancel the reservation and request a refund, and they very rudely told me that it was not their fault and they would not refund me as their policy requires a 3 day notice for cancellation. Policy aside, I am of the opinion that common human decency and help towards a traveler should take precedence in cases like these - refunding the cost of a bunk bed for 2 nights would hardly have harmed the establishment. There are many hotels and hostels in Florence, pleaae do not support businesses that are rude to cuatomers and do not show basic understanding and decency to the circumstances of travel.
