Stayed for NAU Family Weekend visiting our daughter. Excellent location within walking distance of campus, super comfortable beds, clean room and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We will stay again next time we are in flagstaff and we highly recommend to all.

Very clean, comfortable and a welcome respite during our travels among sites of such scenic beauty. Liked the layout, with a wide counter area separate from the toilet and tub. Nice pillows and sheets. Loved the retro vibe and Southwest color scheme--such a refreshing change from the other places we stayed along the way. Friendly manager was attentive and on site during our breakfast. Great to see a HoJo still doing its thing, and doing it well.

Outstanding service from staff. Made an online reservations and was contacted to discuss my room requirements. Only need one bed so was upgraded to a nice queen size bed in a large room Room was very clean and check-in was very good as I arrive around 10 pm. Left early in the morning so no comments on breakfast. Overall price was very good, however, there was a additional $5 local fee charge that was not on my reservations. Overall, room value and service was very good. I felt safe at the hotel,

Stayed here two nights. Toilet was loose on the floor so every time you sat down or got up it wobbled. The paint was peeling off the wall around the toilet paper holder. The bathroom window sill was grungy and filthy looking. The bedroom area was recently painted so it looked better than the bathroom part of the room. I will never take a chance of staying at a Howard Johnson’s again if I can avoid it.

Hotel was OK as a 2 star hotel. Fresh paint and new carpet in the bedroom. Bathroom had peeling paint and mold around the window probably because the exhaust fan didn't work. Heater did not work. They moved us to a different room.

This place needs a major overhaul in housekeeping. I am not exaggerating when I say the beds are equipped with pet fecal matter under them. Dust was accumulated on surfaces that are easily wipeable. The carpet was not vacuumed for who knows how long as it had pet hair everywhere. The floor was not swept and was sticky. The bathroom hardly met the bare minimum sanitation requirements. Everything about the room was an awful experience and reporting the issues to staff didn’t help much. It wasn’t the romantic getaway I was hoping to have in Flagstaff.

The room was adequate, but lots of things needed to be fixed: No security lock on door, no curtain in bathroom over window and a coat hanger securing the slide portion shut, shower curtain was the wrong size resulting in wetting the floor, shower faucet needed adjustment. Bring your own hangers, there was only 1 hanger. I liked the decor.

Hotel Rates were good, when I was having trouble initially finding a hotel. The heater in the room worked very well. And staff was very accommodating, especially with more coffee, decaf packets and extra towels.
