"WOW! This was an absolutely incredible experience! Aziza was truly incredible and took such good care of us during our stay. The riad is lovely - from the guest room to the indoor courtyard. But the true gem of this place is the rooftop terrace. It is peace away from the craziness of the medina with an impeccable view. Breakfast was a true treat on the terrace overlooking the city and of course - Aziza made everything extra special! The location is wonderful - only 5 minutes walk from the Blue Gate. I would highly recommend!"

"We stayed at the Dar for two nights. They told us that on the second night they would change our room and that we should leave everything ready. We went to explore Fes, and when we returned that evening, we found we had the same room, but to our surprise, it hadn't been cleaned. The beds were unmade, the trash can was overflowing, and no one had even been inside. We went out for a night to another city, and upon our return, they gave us a different room and again told us that on the last night they would change our room. This time it was true. When we arrived that night, our suitcases were in the hallway of the room we had stayed in the previous night, and the new room was even further up. They gave us a room with three single beds and only provided one bedspread and a small blanket. I was cold that night, and all the light streamed in through the windows since there were no curtains. I had a bad experience at this Dar; the room organization was poor. The boy who served us breakfast and helped us with our suitcases was very nice, but otherwise, I have nothing good to say."

In general, the atmosphere, people, and Moroccan hospitality made Riad Verus a wonderful choice for accommodation. I would be glad to repeat my stay there and recommend it to everyone who plans to visit Fes!"

What was truly positive was that Ria's host arranged a fantastic guide for us, with whom we explored every corner of Fes in a full 5 hours. Abdul Halil was great. The guided tour to Meknes was also really excellent. Unfortunately, the room lacked even a small refrigerator, cups for toothbrushes in the bathroom would have been very helpful, and the toilet and sink desperately need to be replaced and secured. It would also be much appreciated to have at least one or two small bottles of water in the room upon arrival."
