A simple, convenient hotel in a good location, perfect for a quick stop over or for a business trip.

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and peaceful and I had everything I needed it was nice to have a few places next to the front to eat ..the manager was really nice my only bad point is that if you don't drive be prepared for the taxi drivers to completely rip you off I had to phone about 10 cab companies to eventually get a cab to the station 2 mins cost me £22 but that is not the hotels fault

Went to a wedding with friends stayed here lovely and clean and staff were really nice thanks to Jane the manager for looking after us nice room and comfortable beds close to the venue about 10 mins in cab I would recipe staying here food shops right next to it

Warm and friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble, asked for additional pillows arrived instantly, room was clean, tidy and all amenities on your door step. Staff were friendly, know the area well and were happy to help. Bedding and bed sooo comfy.

perfect room, perfect service. Jane very nice and friendly person, you can laugh and joke with her. I would like to write a personel review for all the staff who were great the manager Jane was absolutely brilliant after finding ourselves in a difficult position she made the experience so much better with her warmth and understanding and great sense of humour which cheered the day up I'm in my sixties and my husband's health isn't great she made it all so much easier feering travel Lodge colchester
