Welcome, welcome to the Unique Gardens. Bright, cozy cottage set in the back of the property of a flower farm. Professionally furnished single level home, this place is a wonderful space to stay while you visit the area.Single level home that has been recently updated and is stylishly furnished. Many extras throughout the house to make you feel right at home.As you enter the home you will find the master bedroom & bathroom are located on the right. As you keep going through the home you have the living room, then the dining room and after that the kitchen. The 2 other bedrooms, the 2nd bathroom and the laundry room are towards the back of the home.Each bedroom has a very comfy mattress, sound makers, phone chargers & comfy blankets & pillows.The kitchen is fully stocked and has plenty of pots & pans, along with a ninja blender, crock pot & waffle maker. The living room is a very cozy area with comfy couches to sit around and enjoy some quality chats with friends.Please note: There is not a TV in the house but there is good WIFI available to stream movies on your devices.The house is located out behind the main house on the property. The entire house will be yours to enjoy. You can also walk through the flower gardens, we just ask that you stay on the main trails and please do not pick the flowers without asking. Note: The barn and main house on the property are off limits to guests.The owners live on the property and they will be around there working on the farm, in the flower gardens, etc.Quiet, laid back neighborhood but within minutes of the highway and shopping centers.A car is needed to get around. There is also Uber rides in the area.This is a 2nd house on the farm in the back corner behind the main house. The owners live in the main house on the property and you will see them around there working in the flower gardens during your stay.Hey there! We can't wait to host you during your stay in the heart of Amish Country! However, we do have to enforce some rules for the safety of our place (we take a lot of pride in it!) and to make sure we keep our neighbors happy.1. All local Lancaster County residents must communicate with the host BEFORE booking.2. The occupancy limit for this property is the same number of guests as your reservation at all times. Violation of this could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without refund.3. No parties, no loud music, no boisterous behavior.4. Renters will respect and follow all rules as outlined in the House Rules Section.5. Renters agree to not contact the host until they have read the House Manual. Will be sent 2 days before arrival.6. Smoking is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate $200/day penalty fee. ($200 for every day of the rental period).7. Unless previously agreed upon with host, there is a $50 late checkout fee for the first hour and a rate of $100/hr for each hour thereafter.8. No Pets allowed. $200 Fine if Rule is broken.9. If by your fault of breaking any house rules causes a scheduling conflict with other guests, you may be charged the amount owing to discount or refund, said guest.10. Repeated infractions of the house rules can result in dispatching of our security team for immediate eviction with no refund. This will result in a $500 penalty additional to any applicable fees.11. A piece of historic charm in picturesque Chester county, first records dating back to c. 1869 and giving Ground Hog College its name. Previously 1 of 5 public schools serving the rural community, located on a quiet road with beautiful forests to explore and a working farm with fresh organic produce. You'll experience a romantic and cozy stay that is close to Longwood Gardens, Cheslyn nature preserve, and local wineries.The school house is directly attached to a full time residence of 2 farmers, one little farmhand & 2 friendly dogs that you are most likely to meet upon arrival. This is a working residence complete with a lively yard full of free range chickens, ducks, and sheep. Everyone is friendly but please be mindful of the electric fence that keeps our livestock contained. Directly across the street, you'll see our cows and sheep grazing lazily at dusk and always enjoy ear scratches. Along the property is almost 50 acres of forested land with cleared paths for your enjoyment. The forest borders our 2 acre organic food production that you are also welcome to visit. You might hear us going to and fro as we are a working farm. This property was acquired by our family and the schoolhouse has been completely renovated in 2023. We are so excited to welcome guests to enjoy our little piece of history. The area is full of activities that is guaranteed to suite everyone's interest. We are down the road from ChesLen preserve and Northbrook canoe company, both places you can spend the day on the water or immersed in nature or a moments drive from downtown West Chester, where you can grab a drink and do some shopping. We are surrounded by delicious food and only an hour from the city life of Philly, truly the perfect balance of city and rural life.Guest accessYou have full access to the school house which is complete with full kitchen, bathroom, sun room and cellar that contains a washer/drier. Re-energize and reconnect in this quintessential Chester County farmhouse. The Buck Run Farmhouse was built in 1767 and is believed to have been part of the Underground Railroad. Beautifully situated on over 90 acres of forest and fields for hiking, bird watching, and exploring; Historic Buck Run Farm is the perfect place to retreat to!!Three story 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with living room, sunroom, and library. Outdoor spaces include brick-paved dining areas, a SoloStove, a Breeo firepit, and two decks as well as a grill for guest use. For kids we offer some basic sports equipment such as a net, a few assorted balls and some various outdoor games (think corn hole, etc.) The perfect place for a group trip or family reunion! Guests have access to the entire first and second floor of the house as well as two full-size bedrooms on the third floor with beautiful views overlooking the farm. Guests are asked not to enter the basement or attic spaces. We have mechanical equipment in these locations and they are not intended for guest access.While guests are welcome to explore the property, it is important to note that parts of the land are actively farmed. We ask that guests are respectful of these areas and recognize that they do not have exclusive access to the outdoor spaces. There are many raised thresholds and narrow doorways as well as very little flat land in the outdoor spaces - all adding to the character of the well-appointed home but not easy for wheelchair access or walkers.Please be aware: there are Ring video doorbells on the front and back doors as well as monitoring the barn and pond. There are NO internal recording or listening devices. Our newly renovated Barn venue is now open and available for bookings also.
