We are regular users of Premier. It is our go-to motel, certainly for convenient overnight stays. This is our first time at the Countess Wear site. This place is getting very dated. The room was about as usual and the bed was comfy as always but there was only one USB socket in the room on the far side to the bed. And it didn't work (we tried both the cables we use daily at home which we had brought with us) so we were unable to charge either of our phones, iPad or computer. Frustrating. Also no way to contact reception excect to walk a very long way back to the desk in person. We had arrived late at night and all we wanted to do was to get some sleep so didn't tell reception about the USB until the morning. They said it was probably unplugged from behind the TV but as the UBS was integrated in a socket in the wall this clearly wasn't the case. The rooms need updating to bring them into use for 21st century travellers.

Bedroom very modern and well equipped. Staff friendly and great parking and breakfast. Great shower, and large bathroom. Check in was easy as was registering the car. Although the outside looks run down and tatty the rooms and the decor inside the rooms definitely make up for it. Great location for a stay in Exeter or for airport

I must say this premier inn is by far the best I've stayed in. Hayden and his team are just out of this world. Always going beyond the call of duty to to help to shuffle things around to suit your needs. Always a happy and cheerful bunch of people. I've been living in premier inns for the past 7 years due to work and this place is by far the best!

The hotel had a great location, but I thought it was poor for a Premier Inn. I associate a Premier Inn with cleanliness, a comfortable bed, and a functional place to stay. However, the room was damp and mouldy which ruined it for me. Everything felt clammy and unclean so it was not a pleasant place to sleep.

Have stayed in many Premier Inns. Usual comfortable room with plenty of space. No drawers to store clothing in but we were only there for one night. Shower ok but non moveable head. No glasses in the bathroom. Altogether ok for a reasonable price

Second visit to this premier inn and both times cannot fault any of the staff or service - and in the attached Beefeater - special thanks to Karen in there. On both occasions we’ve visited the premier inn Hayden checked us in and was there on checkout/departure too and he definitely deserves a 5* rating - is such a warm, friendly, welcoming young man (especially after a long busy drive up from Cornwall) and was also very knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms themselves could do with a little refurbish but that’s not staffs fault at all. Stayed in room 29 this time and it was fine, nice and quiet. The only thing not too good with the room was the step up into/out of the shower, bit awkward and high and had to hold onto towel rail - not too good if you are a little unsteady on the feet etc. But overall a lovely stay (Christmas shopping) Thank you Hayden !!

Dirty x grubby feel about the whole complex . Huge pot holes on entering the carpark . Bed uncomfortable . Grubby bedding . Smelly corridors . We certainly won't be staying here again . 1 good point about our stay , checkin was easy x swift . Very polite lady .

This is the most run down hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms small dated smelt musky , dirty worn carpets didn't meet the grippers, towels were rough, towel rails rusty, soap dispenser rusty, outside of toilet filthy, mirrors old and need replacing, headboard stained, secondary glazing gap filthy and mouldy dud not help with the main road noise so two very bad nights sleep. No USB points next to the bed. On arrival at 8.45 pm after a 5 hr drive was told the kitchen was closed so couldn't eat. The standard of this hotel is nothing like the pictures shown. We will not be returning, wouldn't recommend and has put me off ever using this chain again. I feel very sorry for the staff on reception as they agreed it was not a good standard.

We stay in Premier inn often all over the country so we are week accustom to them. This one is clean with good rooms and a friendly staff. The adjoining bar & restaurant is large with a good evening menu and a good range of drinks. The breakfast are very good with plenty of ingredients. Parking can be a little tight if busy. A good premier inn all round.
