The approach to the hotel is uninspiring which makes your arrival in a modern manicured property all the more surprising. The hotel is well thought out, set up for a very chilled out time and service and facilities are excellent. We did not give a full 5 for one reason which for some could be a blocker. This hotel is very popular with young families, for very good reasons but if you want a quiet retreat keep this in mind If on the other hand you have young children it is a great place.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast had tons of options and there was always space around the pools to relax. We visited between stops in Porto and Lisbon and enjoyed the slow pace and tranquility offered. The staff was also kind and rooms were clean.

It is difficult to fault this extremely well thought out hotel. Every detail required as a new family of a 3 month baby girl was catered to. They prepped our room with all the toiletries towels and a cot we needed for baby and set up a shaded area outdoors with abacus and pillows for guests with children which I used daily for baby’s naps. The staff go above and beyond, the facilities are so incredible, the food amazing and the scenery wonderful. For a relaxing getaway whilst pregnant or with small children/babies it really does cater to providing a tranquil, serene atmosphere in which to enjoy your down time. The housekeeping staff are lovely and keep everything spotless and the amenities of the rooms are great. We shall be coming back throughout the year to experience it during different seasons as they have an outdoor fire pit nook we would love to experience in winter. As a previous Octant Douro customer on several occasions we must say well done Octant hotels for creating this beautiful concept in hotel experience.

Octant Evora Hotel is perfect for a family getaway! Surrounded by nature, the farm experience is a delight for kids and adults alike. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, and beautiful grounds make it a peaceful retreat. Hughly recommend for families

Amazing hotel, with excellent service and food! You can easily spend 4 days over there and not get bored. The new area for an evening stroll close to the lake is something special! The heated pool facing the countryside was magical at nightfall!

This hotel is amazing! The rooms are spacious and very clean, the restaurant is great, there is an indoor pool, a sauna and a gym and the outside areas are also great. You don’t need to leave the premises. What makes this a five star rating: twice a day the rooms are provided with water. At the end of the day they will bring biscuits by, the restaurant is open all day (great when traveling with kids) - also for room- and pool-service. There are many activities for kids and they provide the cutest little presents for babies by arrival. They just have much attention for detail and really make an effort to make your stay pleasant! Make sure you don’t mind kids, since there are many of them ;)

Gorgeous retreat in nature. Rooms are large and well designed, with lots of interesting details and a big outside terrace. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the hotel facilities and the area. The spa is small but very welcome especially in December when outdoor pools are too cold for most. Would love to return in the summer when there are so many more experiences to enjoy.

Basic Luxury hotel. Nice young staff , need to see staff with more experience, spa facilities need improvements especially in the changing rooms. Necessities are missing. Shower caps, body cream, hair dryer,cotton pads etc Ambience in the indoor pool and spa should be more aesthetic and spa treatment rooms to be isolated from external noise.
