Dilapidated room badly needing upgraded. No wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothing. Wires hanging from TV. Scummy bathroom. Random holes in the walls where fittings used to be. No staff on site, you actually book in at a nearby hotel. All in all, a bit of a dump!

Terrible place. It's falling apart. The beds are rock hard. Sheets that didn't fit the beds. The curtain rod was held up with painters tape. The toilet seat was loose. The bathroom paper holder was falling off the wall. No fan in the bathroom, so paint is coming off. You can't open the windows. Scuff marks everywhere. Tv was impossible to turn on and off. Hairdryer didn't work. Mosquitoes in the room. The outside is falling apart. A trash lid was in the grand for 3 days. I could go on and on...

I booked a kitchenette/patio and was very, very disappointed. First, when I arrived at 5 pm the room had not yet been cleaned, and I was asked to wait a half hour. I entered the room later and found it clean and newly renovated, including the bathroom. However, the 3 season room and patio had no furniture, making those spaces useless. And this room did not have a window (because of the door to the patio), therefore I was staying in a windowless room with no circulation and an air conditioner that was so loud that is was unusable when I was in the room. (AC remote didn't work anyway, and I couldn't reach the controls without standing on the bed.) The water pressure is intermittent to nonexistent (I was told this was a city problem), and it always seemed to be trickling during my shower. Long-haired folks will have great difficulty rinsing out the shampoo. Speaking of shampoo, the dispensers in the shower (a plus!) were unlabeled, so you have to guess as to what is in there. Guests were smoking in the hall, which infiltrated the room. It was difficult to sleep--besides the cigarette smoke and the lack of AC (or an AC that sounded like a jet engine), there was a lot of light leak around the door. I did not feel safe: the dead bolt mechanism was flimsy. I would never return here, but if you want to book a room, definitely opt for the room without a patio instead of wasting my money on the upgrade.

This motel is in the process of being renovated. Since our room was one of them that was done, they deserve a good rating. The location was nice, our room included a kitchenette (unneeded for us) & a wasted outdoor space but for some it might be important.

Had a nice stay while visiting the west side of Everglades National Park. Price was good, especially given the limited options in Everglades City. The pool, which overlooked the water, was great (seemed to be one of the only hotels in Everglades City that had a pool). Internet was blazing fast, like fasted I've ever seen in a hotel. The room I had was a great size, and the pizza place next door to the hotel was great. A few drawbacks though: there seemed to be some construction debris laying around the property. One of the beds in the room sagged to the point of reaching the floor. And I wished the room had a desk or table of some sorts, although its a vacation destination so I understand that a lot of the guests won't be spending time on a computer. Overall I'm happy with my stay.
