Dar Danse, the Bubble on the Beach

Escape from city hustle and bustle to this oasis by the sea. From long before our arrival (by WhatsApp), during our stay to even way past our departure Julianna could not have been a more kind and attentive (but respectfully distant) host. She is a gem. As is this beautiful retreat. Who could not absolutely love being the only people on a massive beach, save for a handful of goats. Even though there were other guests and steady trickle of arrivals and departures you honestly would hardly notice. We had the pool to ourselves on a few occasions, and it really is only a short drive north of Essaouria to get to. The food was excellent too. Add this Bubble by the sea to your itinerary, you won’t be disappointed.

There are very few words to capture the true beauty of this stay. Isolated from the outside to provide you a true escape from it. Immerse yourself in the bubble to regain serenity and balance in life. The owner has a vision that she brought to life, the masterpiece to disconnect and find inner peace and reconnect with nature and ourself. This is a perfect weekend getaway for couples celebrating something special, honeymoon, baby moon, or relaxing with the family. It caters towards all ages and groups, but this is truly ideal for a romantic getaway for couples. We brought our large group of family (6 adults and 3 kids) and Julie was beyond a fantastic host. She was available by telephone or in person throughout the stay and was extremely hospitable and flexible.

Could not recommend staying at Dar Danse enough, it was so peaceful and stunning. The photos look beautiful and still don’t do it justice! Miki and Julie and everyone looked after us so well and the food was delicious. You can choose to chill at various different areas to enjoy the lovely coastal views and the pool or you can wander down to the beach easily too. It’s also not far to head into town with a taxi if you want to explore. Watching the sunsets from our terrace was perfect. The perfect place to get away from the rest of the world and truly relax. Thank you so much for having us.

This place is an absolute paradise. If you are looking for somewhere to go to relax and switch of this is the place. It has a romantic feel to it and the sunsets over the sea are incredible which you can sit and watch from the terrace. You can get a taxi ride into the town of Essauira to explore the souks and fishing town. The food was also incredible and they were very accommodating to vegetarians.

Wir können das Dar Danse nicht weiterempfehlen und sind über die positiven Bewertungen mehr als überrascht, da das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut nicht stimmt. Wir haben für die Superior Suite mit Meerblick für 5 Nächte OHNE VERPFLEGUNG mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern 1.300 Euro bezahlt. Frühstück kostet pro Person 10 Euro und Halbpension 35 Euro pro Person extra. Zum Frühstück gab es jeden Tag dasselbe und kaum Auswahl (1 Pfannkuchen, Brot, 1 Ei, Marmelade, Nutella, Honig und Erdnussbutter). Das Abendessen war auch nichts Besonderes und häufig trocken sowie ungewürzt. Da es weit und breit nichts anderes gibt, ist man gezwungen, im Hotel zu essen. Am meisten haben uns jedoch die Unsauberkeit, das schreckliche Badezimmer und der vorherrschende Renovierungsstau gestört. Bei unserer Ankunft haben wir bereits beide Toiletten sehr schmutzig vorgefunden und beanstandet. Leider sahen sie auch nach der Reinigung nicht viel besser aus (siehe Fotos). Das Bad war schmutzig, eng und dunkel, auch hier Renovierungsstau und SCHIMMEL in der Dusche (siehe Fotos). Das Wasser in der Dusche war häufig kalt. Der Handtuchwechsel erfolgte erst nach drei Nächten auf Nachfrage. Richtig gereinigt wurde das Zimmer während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht (und auch davor offensichtlich nur grob). Die Einrichtung der Superior Suite ist völlig veraltet und teilweise morsch (zwei wackelige Strandstühle auf der Terrasse usw.). Das Kinderzimmer war ebenfalls alt und dunkel. Es gibt keinen direkten Zugang zum Strand aufgrund der Felsen. Die Preise dieses Hotels sind überteuert und stehen nicht im Verhältnis zu dem, was man bekommt. Die hygienischen Zustände vor allem im Bad gehen gar nicht! Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder!

Par quoi commencer ! D’abord on emprunte une route du bout du monde pour arriver dans un paradis caché . L’accueil ensuite par Juliana et Miki, authentiquement heureux de nous rencontrer et au petits soins chaque minute du séjour et anticipant nos besoins. C’est fabuleux. Le lieu est incroyable, face à l’océan magnifique. C’est beau, décoré avec goût dans un style essentiellement marocain. On sent tout le travail accompli avec des artisans locaux ! C’est dépaysant, on évacue le stress immédiatement et on se déconnecte bercé par la mer en profitant du confort des lieux. Les chambres (ont en a profité pour les visiter pour notre prochain séjour) sont belles, confortables et s’ouvrent sur la nature (les vues mer sont magiques) La démarche eco-responsable de nos hôtes et leur engagement pour protéger les animaux rajoute encore un peu plus de charme au séjour. The welcome then by Juliana and Miki, authentically happy to meet us and taking great care of every minute of the stay and anticipating our needs. It's fabulous. The place is incredible, facing the magnificent ocean. It is beautiful, tastefully decorated in an essentially Moroccan style. We can feel all the work accomplished with local artisans! It’s a change of scenery, you relieve stress immediately and disconnect, lulled by the sea, enjoying the comfort of the place. The rooms (we took the opportunity to visit them for our next stay) are beautiful, comfortable and open onto nature (the sea views are magical) The eco-responsible approach of our hosts and their commitment to protecting animals adds a little more charm to the stay.
