Ponderosa Inn

I usually do not write reviews for hotels but our experience was so unusually bad, I felt compelled to ensure others know what to expect if they book with the current owners of the Ponderosa Inn. We were absolutely horrified by our experience and ultimately had to forfeit our reservation and seek alternative accommodations. We had booked our reservation months in advance through Priceline and arrived late in the evening after a long day of driving, only to find out that the self-check-in process didn’t work at all. The key details we received from Priceline didn’t work, so we called the property manager, Gabe, for help. From the moment he answered the phone, he was rude and unhelpful. He claimed that the information from Priceline didn’t match his records and immediately accused us of being frauds. He told us to leave the property and contact Priceline, even though we were only trying to follow the instructions we had been given. The situation got even worse when we had to jump through multiple hoops with Priceline and *********** customer support to sort it out. They had to contact the manager, who made us feel incredibly unsafe by mentioning that Utah has an open carry permit and insinuating that we could have been shot over this misunderstanding. We were just trying to check in. The property manager was unprofessional and hostile. By that point, we didn’t feel safe staying there and decided to leave. Thankfully, we found a room at Canyon Country Lodge, which was a million times better—offering amenities like a pool, hot tub, and breakfast at the same price as this awful place. We would highly recommend the Canyon Country Lodge. To make matters worse, the property manager refused to refund us any portion of our payment. This made us wonder if it wasn't part of a scam to avoid paying cleaning fees. We are completely disgusted by this experience and will NEVER stay here again. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

We enjoyed our stay in the River Bend room so much. This place was clean, cozy, unique, well decorated and had probably the best shower and bed we have stayed at. We met Natalie and her husband during our stay they answered any questions we had and he even made us a fire in the fire pit outside. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking. We felt so welcomed and would definitely stay here again!!

Das Ponderosa Inn ist momentan noch ein kleiner Geheimtipp. Bei unserem Besuch war nur ein weiterer Gast zugegen. Die rustikalen Zimmer sind eher klein aber neuwertig. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich, sodass wir uns wie zuhause fühlten. Man merkt, dass die Zimmer mit viel Liebe hergerichtet worden sind. Hübsche Dekoartikel überall. Alles war sehr sauber. Der eingenständige Check-in mit Code klappte tadellos. Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.
