Sunrise Palace Merzouga

Where do I even begin? This place has made quite an impression on me for many different reasons: the location, decor, food, facilities, amenities, and most of all the top-notch service we received from the staff. Not only did we receive exceptional service but was made to feel like family and that’s very special. We also got to meet the owner Youssef, heard his personal journey to making his dream a realization, and you can feel his passion for building Sunrise Palace, and his passion radiates through the property and the dedication of his staff. Sunrise Palace is is situated at the edge of the desert (literally their backyard) with a minimalist Moroccan desert chic decor, sprinkled with cozy indoor and outdoor lounge and dining spaces, a lovely outdoor pool, and a wonderful scent, all-in-all, this place gives off a charming idyllic vibe, and now is one of my favorite places I’ve visited. The room we got was very spacious and had a pool and desert view, so lovely! Loved the water pressure in the shower too. We enjoyed all the meals we had at Sunrise Palace, breakfast, lunch, and dinners and they made my favorite bread, Msemen, so well…yum (compliments to the chef!). Moha and his staff did a great job of anticipating our plans and needs too, so everything was easy and seamless for us. Moha arranged a memorable sunset camel ride for us, set out towels and sun hats when we mentioned that we may just spend the day relaxing by the pool, and played drums and sang around a bonfire - this was such a a treat! Hoping I can go back to this magical place again and definitely highly recommend Sunrise Palace to anyone staying in the Merzouga area.

Sunrise Palace was amazing! My family and I stayed here for just one night but I wish it could have been longer. They provided a beautiful lunch for us on really short notice. We also took quad bikes out onto Erg Chebbi for a sunset ride and the service and tour guide were amazing. The staff, especially Moha and Moha Hami, were really responsive to our needs and were great company. They also performed Berber music for us in the evening. The customer service at Sunrise Palace can only be rivalled by the beautiful interiors and the gorgeous sand dunes. Truly couldn’t recommend a hotel more

The hotel ground is very beautiful! The room is spacious, clean with beautiful interior! The staff is very helpful. The owner even came to greet us and spent some time with us. Highly recommended for family. We had dinner at the hotel as well, it was delicious.

I had a great stay at the Sunrise Palace hotel and it was the highlight of my trip. The hotel itself is stunning and comes with a gorgeous pool that overlooks the Sahara desert. The staff are incredibly accommodating and will go out of their way to ensure that you have the best experience. You have the option of sandboarding as well as being in a prime location for star gazing at night. I definitely recommend the Sunrise Palace for anyone looking for accommodation at the Sahara desert!

I had the most incredible stay at Sunrise Palace in Merzouga. It was the highlight of my trip to Morocco. The hotel is gorgeous, located in the middle of the dunes, it has stunning views, the inside doesn’t stay far behind, it is beautiful and cozy. All the meals were amazing, made fresh and they accommodated my dietary restrictions. What made my experience so remarkable though was the service. Youssef, Mohammed, Hamid and the whole staff were so attentive and went above and beyond throughout my stay. I truly had never met people so kind. Thank you so much. I hope to return one day. Just a tip, if you’re planning to go I’d recommend you stay for at least 3 nights. I only stayed for 2 and wished I had stayed longer!

The Palace is so authentic and the standards are very high. The people on staff became my friends. It has been my second time at the Sunrise Palace and I will go back again soon. Literally in the middle of the Sahara desert. Stunning environment and views!
