Tassili Luxury Desert Camp

What a fantastic experience! The camp is in a wonderful location, right on the sand dunes without another camp in view. The tents are comfortable with good facilities. The food was tasty and the evening entertainment by the camp fire, listening to the guys playing the drums and singing, under a million stars was magical. If alcohol is important to you, you will need to bring your own as the camp does not have a license. Thank you so much to Hassan and his team - we had a brilliant stay.

We stayed for two nights in the desert, and it was an unforgettable experience. Despite our late arrival on the first night and our early departure on checkout day, the team accommodated us wonderfully. I highly recommend staying at least two nights (or even more) to have enough time to relax and enjoy the excursions they offer. We took the 4x4 tour around the desert with Ali, and he was fantastic! He allowed us to take our time at each stop and we never felt rushed. The sunset camel ride was absolutely breathtaking and so was stargazing at night!Ahhh evenings at the camp were just as magical. Listening to and dancing to traditional music after dinner was a beautiful experience. On our second night, we were able to enjoy it outdoors by the campfire, where they even let us try the instruments ourselves. Jamming with the other guests made it even more special. The hospitality here was truly unmatched. Thank you, Tassili! I’m already looking forward to returning in the near future.

Amazing experience which is unmissable. Everything is done to ensure you have a fantastic time. Picked up at your convenience, beautiful camp, spacious and extremely well decorated rooms, delicious food and a really welcoming atmosphere. Definitely do the sunset and sunrise camel rides which are a brilliant experience. I could not recommend the camp enough. Definitely go!

We stayed at the campsite in June and chose this place because we had read that it was more isolated than others, away from tourists, quads, and other camps. It truly was an incredible experience. We were alone in the desert, surrounded by a rare silence, and the scenery was breathtaking. The dinner was delicious. The staff made our stay even more special—they were incredibly welcoming, always ready to answer our questions, and organized an unforgettable evening. We really got a taste of what Berber life is like. Highly recommended!

The camp is beautifully situated among the dunes. The tents are very spacious, have their own bathroom, and are comfortably furnished. Meals are served in a very lovely tent and were absolutely delicious. Thanks to the location, we were able to see both the sunset and sunrise. We rode camels for the sunset. In the evening, we relaxed with music around the campfire. There’s an amazing atmosphere, no mass tourism! A 100% recommendation from us.

We stayed 2 nights at Tassili Desert Camp and had a car. With this review, I hope to help other travelers with the context and details that you just don't know without being there. And some practical tips to make the most of your experience. Here goes! Finding the camp with the car worked well with GPS and the pink tire landmarks. It's out there, y'all! There's a sandy parking area but we weren't sure if we were in the right place at first. I messaged the camp on WhatsApp and someone was there to pick us and our bags up in a 4x4 in less than 10 minutes. Great! We arrived around 5pm planning to chill until our sunset camel ride. I thought I had reserved this through messaging with the camp but the camels were leaving without us :( This turned out to be a miscommunication and we had a wonderful (and private) sunset camel ride up the dunes just a few minutes later. Just be sure to confirm that you are reserved. The cost is 15euro/camel and there will be a guy with camels that comes directly to the camp. The dunes are so close that this is a wonderfully easy (and fabulous) experience. The tent is roomy with electricity and running water. Pretty amazing to have this at all out here! The tent has a good-sized window that opens wide but otherwise no air circulation. A fan would be great but they use solar panels so I understand why this isn't there. Consider bringing your own small battery fan for added comfort. In cooler months, this shouldn't be an issue. The shower was very nice. Rainfall head with good water pressure and temperature. Just be careful not to use a ton of water - remember where you are ;) Our tent had a huge king bed, a single bed, side tables, a clothing rack, and two chairs. Our "porch" had a table and two chairs to sit and chill. Bugs and heat were not an issue in the tent at night. I slept very well! Dinner is a set menu of salad, main dish, and dessert each night. The food was very good! I was curious to know how it was being prepared behind the scenes but this will remain a mystery ;) The dining tent is impressive! Tables, chairs, and all the dishware for a proper Moroccan feast. There's a small refrigerator with cold drinks for purchase. Getting all of that out here must have been quite an undertaking! They don't serve alcohol but will refrigerate and serve wine and beer if you bring it (within reason lol). We brought a 6-pack of beer and 2 bottles of wine to have with dinner each night (stocked up on our way out of Marrakech). They even brought out an ice bucket with a couple of beers at the end of a long day of activities. So nice :) The breakfast is excellent! It is served buffet style in the dining tent with eggs on request. The spiced egg tagine is delicious! They have a full buffet of coffee, juice, fruit, different breads, jams, yogurt, etc. but it's a bit difficult with flies buzzing around (welcome to nature). Everything is covered very well, though.
